Default Common food items you have never eaten?

I have never eaten a Sloppy Joe or Sushi.
Can't wrap my head around sushi. Something about uncooked fish.

I did say that next time I am somewhere they offer the California Roll (I think it's called) with the sushi and rice I will try it.

Never ate can tuna or chicken. Something about meat that could stay good for years I just can't wrap my head around it.

I'm trying to think of things I haven't had, and not much is coming to mind.

The only one I can think of that is pretty popular would be dim sum, but I've probably had all the things on the dim sum menu before, just not served in dim sum style.

Sushi and sloppy joes = delicious.

Sushi is AWESOME! But then again, I've been known to filet a fish on the spot after catching it and eat the flesh.

I'm with you on Sloppy Joes, Spaghetti too - both worthless IMO

I don't and won't eat Tofu - freakin disgusting

Sushi is amazing and not all of it is raw. I was always afraid of the raw stuff, but if you go to a nice sushi place, I bet you will love it. I used to eat the cooked stuff or plain rolls now all I can eat is the raw stuff.

As for common food I haven't tried I do not think there are any. I always like to try something once.

Tried the California Roll a couple years ago and wouldn't touch sushi until this winter. A friend had some Spicy Yellowtail with ginger and wasabi. It was amazing. I would advise going with something other than the Cali Roll as your first taste of sushi, but that's just me. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, as I always try something once.

I have never had Spam either.

My neighbors go fishing in the summertime and have brought home Bluefin Tuna.

They cut it up in the front yard and eat the Sashimi (SP) as they are cutting. Their dog loves it too.

Now cooked bluefin steaks are awesome!!

Raw, freshly caught Tuna is delicious. We slice steaks from the filets, and cook it on the Grill RARE with just blackened seasoning on it. It is absolutely one of the best things in the world to eat. Some lettuce, a slice of tomato and a little mayo - perfection

I cooked it with a little olive oil, ginger and some garlic.

It was incredble.

Interesting. Ocean oysters I love. LOVE. Mountain oysters, never had 'em either. Come to Boston, I'll take you to the best spot in town for some.

Nope. But man people talk about them like they're the bee's knees (Get it? Leg pun?). I do LOVE crabcakes, though. Preferably while in Maryland.

Most MD crabcakes don't use Maryland crab unfortunately. Most of the GOOD Maryland Crabs get sent out of state to restaurants for top dollar. Most Maryland crabcakes are made with crabmeat from Louisiana. It's still Blue crab, but not Blue crab that grew up in cold water. There is a taste difference.

Just go to Sams or Costco and buy a 16oz tub of Jumbo Lump crabmeat and makes them yourselves. $16 and you can make 4-5 huge crabcakes that contain very little filler. We make them several times a year and rarely go out for them anymore.
