when wife and I went to southern Africa for several safaris ... I think this was in Zimbabwe:

ostrich, warthog, mopani worms:

I had another picture selected of a guy holding a bunch in his hands but it was way too disturbing after I posted it, so I switched it out.

Balut & durian - two things that Andrew Zimmern can't stand and he eats everything!

I can't eat balut anymore nowadays. Used to love them when I was younger. Still like durian tho.

Durian is the most vile thing put on earth. I cannot fathom how people stuff their faces with it... UGH!

Marrow from the bone (with steak, was kind of weird):

Went to an international festival on a field trip in middle school and they were serving cactus at a booth. They had the spines cut off and were cutting pieces off of the cactus when you asked. I think my group ate an entire small cactus. Tasted like green beans.

hmmm I like trying wild game meats, have had rabbit, eel, alligator and such

weirdest for me was few years back wife's mothers boyfriend caught a snapping turtle while fishing and came back and cut it up and battered it and fried it ...it wasn't bad but reminded me of real chewy pork .......but worked in a golf country club kitchen when I was a teenager and turtle soup absolutely stinks ...i had to smell it once a week and is a horrible smell!

Foie gras - in France
Tripe tacos - in Mexico
Sea urchin sushi - in NYC
Fried Rattlesnake strips - in Arizona

The best was the foie gras (duck liver) which was surprisingly good!

goat
bison
elk
alpaca
tripe is pretty good, chewy, but good, get that in my Pho

A cheeseburger!

I dont necessarily eat weird food rather I mix two different things together from home. For example I once ate a pancake with a bit of beans inside.

I know its not weird but a few years ago it was for me. I was 13, what do you expect?
