I was using various spinners, rubber frogs and live minnows, I never even tried a swim bait - Thanks for the tip.

Hey guys, is there a difference between a fluke and a flounder from the gulf area? Was lucky enough to catch a couple of them once when I ws in the Houston area and they look like they are the same.

Great thread, my boy and I are big fishermen, we go several times a week during the summer. Most go after panfish and bass. Great photos guys, thanks for sharing!

You can never go wrong with panfish. I could honestly go to the local pond I fish at (apparently nobody knows it's there since I'm always the only one), sit on a beach chair, and catch bluegills on bits of bread all day long. They also make for fantastic live bait (although I'd never hook one up while it's alive, I couldn't do that to a living thing other than a worm).

Damn. You guys make me so jealous

This shark we caught off my dad's deck in Clearwater:

And then a bunch of groupers we caught deep-sea..mind you, these aren't the best groupers to catch (full of worms), but who cares

Caught a few stripers in Lake Texoma last weekend. No pics, but we got like 6 of em (52 lbs total). Filleted on site and pan fried back home.

Here in Washington, I typically do salmon fishing in the Puget Sound, or Kokanee fishing in some local lakes. Sometimes trout, but I'm more of a salmon fisherman than trout

Here's my boat, 15ft does the trick!

Pinks run on odd years, so I'm getting ready for next month. I'll be fishing daily until the run is done.

Pinks 2 years ago. 3 of us were limiting each run out, within 90 minutes. Was really fun catching 3-9lb salmon on trout rods in the sound!

On the BBQ, salmon, trout and soon kokanee (in the kitchen). This was my birthday feast last year. I make these BBQ onions that everyone begs me to make each time we bbq lol, those are up top.

I use a marinade of 3 ingredients, and it turns out amazing each time.

Soy Sauce, 100% Pure Maple Syrup, Minced Garlic
