Pretty good fishing to be had on a US Navy warship in port. The water is protected from public fishing so there is alot to be hooked. I don't have very many pics saved but here are a few.

My first bluefish.

My wife's first sea trout at Jacksonville Beach Pier.

Nice bass! Hold them suckers up proud. Whenever I catch one, big or small, I pull a Kevin VanDam and do one of these:

Haha I'm awkward with fish pictures. That one on the right is the biggest bass I've ever caught. Next time I'm there ill post a pic of the pond. It is severely choked out.

Been doing some Kokanee fishing with the kids, as well as Chinook / Pinks in the Puget Sound.

For those that don't know, Kokanee is a landlocked Sockeye salmon. Some of the best Kokanee fishing is about 30 minutes from my house.

Here's some Kokanee my son and I caught 2 weeks ago, and here they are cooking.

Last night, went out to the sound on a whim. So glad I did.

10# on the left, 7# on the right. Both taken within an hour of launching my boat.

Filets....already drooling.

Those filets look delicious, especially the salmon on the grill. Nice fish!

Thanks! I agree, if it wasn't for me fileting them last night at 11pm, I would have cooked one up.

nice salmon, how'd you prepare the ones on the grill other than lemon and butter?

I use a rub on them first, then the lemon and butter.

Either that, or it's a marinade of 100% pure maple syrup, minced garlic and soy sauce

not a lot of fish again on the charter but the quality more than made up for it. amy and i went along with my friend tom. all 3 of us caught our biggest fish ever on this trip with tom and amy getting their 1st ever salmon as well. we let tom get the 1st one as he had never been on a charter before, as he was fighting his another one fired off and amy and tom were fighting some monsters. got a little scary as the fish crossed but luckily one was out further and avoided disaster. amy got hers in first then tom. got a few pics on the way out as well, and a big boat that was cruising

i also got in on the action a little bit later

was pretty bright back at the harbor and i couldn't see the screen, oops my bad

finally the triplets. all 30lb kings
