Best on the east coast...the best time of year is approaching for stripers out there. The fall run...do you get much of a run by you?

This pretty much sums it up

Nope, but have been wanting to try for a while.

I grew up in Maine and there are a couple folks I know who say the fly fishing up there is amazing. Really hope to go sometime.

I think it's pretty fun. A lot of places are catch n release so I don't have to kill anything which is nice.

I had no idea Maine was a tight spot for fly. I'm gonna do some internet research. Thanks for the tip brotha

Yeah, sounds like a good, relaxing time.

Well, that's what I've been told. I haven't done it myself, nor do I know exactly where they go. But I do know that up there in Maine there are lots of rivers/streams so apparently the quality of fishing (surroundings, I mean) are pretty cool. Great territory up there so it doesn't surprise me.

Where do you go in the Boston area? I'd like to see fenway next summer and would like to check out the area while im up there. I've been to woods hole mass, but was basically there on business and couldn't do anything recreational.

Catch a Sept. game at Fenway then head a little north of Boston to Gloucester Ma. and hit a Tuna charter, as that is the best time of year for Tuna and or Striper fishing in this neck of the woods!

90% of my fishing is done in the river. First time EVER catching a flathead 4 nights ago on a live bluegil. For anyone that doesn't know, Flatheads can get huge.
Heres mine.

The guy who took those pictures, His dad caught this in the same part of the river.

The fishing I've done here in town (the pic I posted, for example) has been right out in Boston Harbor. You can catch charters right down on the waterfront section of town, a place called Rowes Wharf. The one I did has departures at 6 AM and 1 PM I think, so twice a day. Each is 6 hours. I've say hit up a game at Fenway maybe on a Friday night, then do a charter the next morning. It is a blast.

Just got back from South Carolina. I was fishing on the pier and caught this 3 foot long eel looking creature with teeth like a cat. Some local guy said it was an Atlantic Cutlass Fish. I didnt have my camera or I would have taken a picture. Anyone ever catch one of these ugly bastards?

Commonly called Ribbon Fish here in Northeast Florida. There is a picture of me holding one a couple of pages back.

They hunt in packs and are very aggressive.

So the other day Buddy called me telling me he landed a 50 inch 49Lb Muskie out of a lake 3 miles away from me. Iowa DNR said last year that they knew the iowa state record would come from this lake and this fish my buddy caught was within inchs and lbs of breaking the old record. Best part about this photo is his feet, those are not socks hahaha

Awesome Musky, nice pattern on it! Have only seen one that size on the follow up at Lake of the Woods.
