1/32 oz brown tube jig, it was a minnow style so had sort of a fatter belly instead of a straight tube. Was fishing for crappie on a brush pile, don't know you can really target bass too well through the ice. Lake is known for crappie, bass and channel cat. Thought I had about a 10 lb channel cat because it fought so well, really dug for the bottom, went completely around the brush pile at least 3 times but never swam into it otherwise would have never seen it, wasn't sure it was coming through the ice hole, but it did.

Got out on the ice for the first time this season on Tuesday morning. Had 2 false flags then landed a nice fat 27 inch Pike. Caught a couple small crappie and tossed them back. I don't keep anything under 7-8 inches.

No pictures this time. My parents went out this morning and killed it though. It's always good fishing on the lake we go to on warm days. I'll get a picture next time.

3 nice pike and some little guys from last Saturday. Same lake as the weekend before, same time, just a little bit warmer. Got my Dad a nice Rapala filet knife for Christmas and he loved it.

Nice! I have never had pike before...how do you cook it? What does it compare to taste wise?

I personally do not know how to cook them. I'm not a big fish eater besides Walleye and Perch but I assume you just fry it up. Most people are turned off by them because of the bones, but if you know how to clean them right, you can have some great bone-free filets.

Well its not cold in Southern California but it is lobster season. Went out last weekend and nabbed these bugs.

Here's a few others in the fishing picture file.

Cabo dodo

Honeymoney Wahoo w/ the wife

And the reason for my name - The 528 lbs Blue Marlin - Circa 1995

one of my favorites - "The Battle"

It took 3 hours, we were trolling and it hit a jig and wrapped the leader around its bill so I had the leverage to turn its head, got lucky in that regard. If it was tail wrapped it could've taken a lot longer. It's was amazing to see yet alone catch a 12' fish. The cuts near the tail were from the prop. When we gaffed it the fish swung under the boat and the captain out the boat in gear and ran it over.

Sick man! Go on the wall or what happens to the fish? Only fished for those once in Costa Rica, raised one, not that big. That Dorado is amazing too! Tasty!

Bottom pic is a Striper from Wilson Lake, KS and the 3 above that are from one of my best days of all time Wiper (hybrid White Bass/Striper) fishing from Milford Lake, KS.

Will have to start uploading our photos and videos here. Me and the wife are avid fisherman, finally got to go deep sea fishing last August, she caught her first shark. I landed about a 35 pound red snapper but was not in season. Went bay fishing in October came away with some trout a couple of nice gaffstopsail cats and a 36 inch Red Drum. We are planning a trip to Key West sometime for some fishing.
