I just went through the headcold thing last week, but I just rode it out, no meds for me.... But for a quick, temp relief for the stuffy nose, put your head in the freezer and breath in the cold air for a couple of minutes, it will temp. shrink your swollen nasal passage and you can breath.

Vegetables, water or gatorade and very small amounts of complex carbohydrates and proteins (if any at all). It is much more difficult for the body to break down complex carbs & protein. You want the reduced energy your body has to fight the cold not break down a steak.

Immediate relief on a stuffy nose : Franks red hot, pop the top and sniff.

If you gargle in warm salt water, it usually helps a sore throat.

Get drunk.

The drunker you are the less you remember you are sick.

Worked in college all the time.

Must be that time of year, suffering the same symptoms. Sleep is the best cure for illness, but then again I like the others guys quote, get drunk that works too. Isn't it the cure for all wounds?

Won't happen.

Messing with your circadian rhythm, when you are sick, will make you feel like much worse as the night progresses.
Your body tries to shut it self down, when sick, to combat the virus or bacteria. Your melatonin output will increases as well and combating that will make a simple sick a much worse sick.

You can fight it by taking aspirin and the such, but you may fail about 2am and make yourself much sicker.

Your call. If you are in your 20's. it won;t matter, you are still indestructible. If you are in your 40's or up, it will hammer the hell out of you for days.

Mint or Green tea with honey.

Will make your throat a lot better. Probably your voice is just sore from yelling so much. My throat gets that way when I talk at work for 8 hours in a day.

Didnt know that.

Thanks to everyone who posted, stuff nose is still there but I think its from allergies. Going to try a new medicine tomorrow. And btw you may or may not care but I did catch something
It was my first time fishing and got their about 7pm and around 1am I caught my first fish.

17 inch trout.... AMAZING! Sadly 1 inch short of being legal so had to throw it back, weight was about 5lbs. Not bad
