If I'm not mistaken, I believe the t-shirt goal has been reached, correct? If so, congrats!

Wow ... you good sirr just made my day ... I cannot thank you enough ... I will finish up that list ... You are in on the Flacco x7 and the Brett Favre x8 .

Thank you everyone ... I am truly in disbelief that we sold a hundred shirts . Thank you everyone for participating and thank you everyone for knowing how important this was to me ...

Five years ago I would have told you I have the 5 closest friends in the world . You would not have been able to convince me otherwise for anything . We were, and always have been great friends . Since all this has happened, I have heard 5 words combined from all 5 total . I have people coming out of the wood works to be near my son for a moment . To get to know us and hear our sons story .Complete strangers . To help support me, my wife, and my children through this life changing ordeal . And my "friends" can't say a word or do a thing or even come see this little man who is making the most of "fighting for" what time we have . I cannot thank you all enough for standing behind me . For letting me vent, laugh, joke and cry with you all . For standing behind us, my family .

While I can in no way compare our situations as far as seriousness goes, I had a similar experience when I was diagnosed with cancer. My best friend dropped off the face of the earth. She only came to see me one time and stayed less than 2 hours after driving almost 3 to see me. It was heart breaking at the time. I have had a lot of time to process and I realized that some people just aren't equipped to deal with those type of situations.

I agree.

I think the problem isn't so much people's interest in helping/being there, but rather their ability to do so. Some people simply aren't - to use Josie's words - equipped to handle real life, emotional things. I honestly believe that. When it comes to serious health related illness, particularly terminal illness, many people run in the opposite direction or turn themselves off to the reality and pretend it isn't true or it isn't happening.

This is unfortunate, obviously, but what I believe to be the truth.
