Hopefully its all what its intended for , "precautionary" and she has this licked. Still thinking about this hoping for the best.

People say the internet isn't real life, but its impossible not too build a bond with people and have various degrees of connections with people. This board is full of so many different kinds of people. I don't even know why I'm rambleing... lol

Just wishing the best to your family and all the others facing various adversities (I think that's a word).

The surgeon removed every bit of cancer from the breast and the test for all 17 Lymph Nodes came back Negative for cancer. Which is a great thing. They are recommending Chemo and Raidiation for 6 months just to make sure the cancer isn't anywhere else in the body.. Her cancer was stage 1-2 and the cancer is a Progressive cancer so chemo and radiation is to make sure everything cancer will be destroyed. My brother bought her a bunch of Natural pills to help with cancer as well. So only time will tell.
That is amazing news Dan! I'm happy for you guys. As for the bold statement in the quotes. You MUST run each by her oncologist. I know these can often weaken the chemo effectiveness and in some cases can even increase it and kill patients. I am all for natural remedies, my fiance suffers from MS and Vitamin D is one of the best treatments for it. I have seen the results of too many studies about natural pills and cancer to know some have bad consequences with chemo. Just review them with the oncologist, her family practice physician is unlikely to know much about the good vs bad. Best of luck through her recovery, she sounds like shes on the way already

Dan,be glad that your Mom's cancer was caught in stage 1-2 and not 3-4. That is a very good thing. The chemo and radiation won't be fun,but it will knock this out and she will be good to go. Have faith and remember,we are all here for you!

pic update. Mom sent me this picture this morning to show some of the cut they did. The cut I guess went across her breast as well.

I'm glad you bumped this up Dennis.

just walked in the door to bring my kiddos over to grandmas house and my mom was crying. i guess when they had taken her drain tube out they did some xray and the surgeon called this morning and told her that the xray had shown there was a bigger mass hiding further in her breast and has to go back in for another surgery. Sucks..

*Sighs deeply*

Ok, well, that's ok, Dan. Just like they did before - find it, remove it, move on.

When is this surgery going to be? Any idea yet?

Hey Dennis! Right here bud. Chemo starts on the 16th. So just here in the next few days. Scared for her. I went to the "What to expect" meetings they had yesterday with her. She went out and bought fake eye lashes and a Pink wig for her Chemo treatment days that she has to go to. Which are on every Monday for the next 6-9 months. They said Monday-Friday she is going to be pretty much sick and not wanting to do anything but for a couple days she will be feeling okay. So im sure its going to be a pretty penny driving in every day (30 minute drive, one way) but gotta do what you got to do.

We had plans on going to Kalahari water resort in Wisconsin a few weeks back but ended up cancelling our trip to help her fianancially and to buy her some supplement drinks for the next 6 months during her treatments. Been a long haul even though its only been a month since all of this has happend. Just wanting it to be over and not watch my mom go through this.. Sucks

Hmmm. Ok, thanks for the update, Dan. Appreciate that, but hate the details. Cancer sucks so much. Every part of it. I hate it beyond belief. Well, we'll be here with your Mom in our thoughts for sure. Just stay strong, be there for her, and help her through it. There will be plenty of ups and downs, so stick with it. Be her rock, she'll need it. Damnit. I hate that you gotta deal with this, so sorry Dan. Keep your head up dude and let us know if you need/want anything along the way.

my mom was on chemo for a while prior to her passing. I think they had her on pills which still makes you just as sick but for some reason you don't have the loss of hair. The stuff works though.

There is light at the end of the tunnel bud. keep strong.

Day 1 of Chemo.

Some facebook updates through the past couple days

Tummy cramps thru the night with severe shakes. Headache is gone today and the pain in my hand from the IV, just hoping I keep everything down today that's my goal.

Not feeling to great, I feel like I'm on fire. Very tired.

Day 3, woke up sick, it's like having a constant flu, not cool at all, took my last steroid last night, I'm hoping my tremors, shakes, feeling of being on fire, flushed faced, severe abdominal pains, are going to get better now off this great med. my sis is such a great help don't know what I would do with out her, thanks to my family and friends for caring so much. I love you all very much
