It looks like comments are saying it is an ice cream shop that caught fire. I hope everyone made it out ok.

Oh my is that a wildfire! I hope people did the right thing and got out of town so there are minimal injuries. It is sad to see a piece of Americana go up in flames.

I was just there last Thursday....... even had a strawberry milkshake at the kohr bros ice cream that started the fire. Absolutley horrible...... just finished recovering from sandy too... lets hope the wind stops and it is put out soon. My grandparents know a guy named Lucky Leo... has an arcade there...full of amazing sports memorabilia like Jeter and Mariano signed jerseys ..mantle Maris cuts all over... tons of LBJ Kobe Jordan etc.... all GONE... millions of dollars worth of space, games and the most rediculous prizes I've ever seen in my life. Horrible

As of now they don't think it will spread past the trench they set up. Lucky Leo's made it...too far north of the fire,,, close but was saved..lets hope this rain cuts the fire down

As I was driving home I saw fire trucks from my town and neighboring towns racing there. Very happy no firefighters were severely injured

So I just caught this on the news.....but didn't get the details at the beginning. What was the cause of this, do they know?

Being a local here, I was supposed to go out to Seaside last night, ended up in Pt. Pleasant instead but then stopped off in Seaside on the way home. Let's just say it left me speechless. When you get to the trench they dug on the boardwalk, you can see clear through the other end as if nothing is there. The cops at the trench spot were discussing a particularly fishy situation regarding the owner of Kohrs potentially starting the fire due to damages his stands received yet he did not get insurance money from Sandy and the cops believe that may have happened.

Good friends of mine run the Saw Mill. Heard it is still standing but damaged.
