Must be some sheer panic in South Florida with Jeremy burning up Google to prove himself right and then finding time after time that he is wrong. Wish I could be a fly on the wall to witness this panic.

OMG. You are telling me that a trading card company employs people that rip and flip? What the heck is this world coming to? Does no one collect anything anymore?!?!?!?!

Heck, Sy Berger sold two unopened gold presentation boxes of 50 diff Topps cards given to him from Topps(one card from every year '52-'02). I was bidding on them in a Robert Edwards auction once.

I know many people who sell their item bonus. That is why a bonus should always be monetary. Don't make the employee liquidate to get what they want.

Has an IMAC thread EVER gone as he had planned/hoped?

Serious question.

I am in total agreement with the OP's outrage.

UD employ'ees selling their company gifted cards (where has the fun part of this hobby gone?...its all about the money now. smh) is LITERALLLY as offense to me as selling superfractors cut from a backdoored uncut sheet, as if they were "test issue" regular cards.

I am literally disgusted, and I can guarantee that the honorable Richard P. McWilliam is rolling in his grave!!!!!

Unlike Hannibal Smith (google him if you must), his plans never come together on here.

Who would ever do something as dishonorable as selling supers cut from an uncut sheet? That whole situation seems familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on who would do such a thing.

Haha! She is probably just giving you a free pass the rest of the month. I could see how you would be confused by this.

what would you have them do? I mean, if I was a fan of the hobby and working there, i still might sell it if it wasn't a guy I liked.

You dont know their lives on a daily basis so you probably shouldnt be outraged over this. The amount of money they may very well get may help them make a mortgage payment or buy xmas presents for their kids.

Maybe one is going through a divorce and they are being taken to the cleaners and even a couple of hundred bucks will help considerably.

Id like to know, who are you to pass judgement over someone trying to sell a trading card that they were legally given?

I see what you did there....

Me thinks Macadelic is just bitter because he bought a set from a UD employee thinking he was going to clean up. Womp womp womp.

No idea why these are numbered so high when UD only has 4 employees.

I agree, just like beckett should not be grading and then auctioning off the same cards or when C.Olds opens a super loaded box of cards (from UD if the old brainwaves are still still functioning) which was surely not meant for them only!

we could go on and on. Army navy surplus stores, police auctions, heck re-gifting birthday or holiday gifts!

My company does frown upon selling items which were given out or won from vendors, but that is only internally.

I won an Ipod/Iphone/Ipad alarm clock thingy a few months back. I ended up paying it forward to one of my buddies instead of trying to sell somewhere else since I have no apple products.

You are over complicating this situation. Jeremy wrote this thread solely due the fact that he is jealous that he personally is not profiting on these cards.

To your points, you are 100% correct that we should not pass judgement on a "bonus" given to others.

To the OP, Lets say if you were given a gold & diamond studded watch at work as a Christmas Bonus. You had 3 watches already that worked fine & you had no need for another watch. Yours are in fact better. Lets also say you needed to pay $5,000 in car repairs for that month & take your kid to the dentist -- Would you not take that watch & throw it up on ebay to pay your bills!?

I've gotten many gifts at McDs that I don't really want -- A cookie jar, etc.... Things I don't want. Keep the ones you need. Get rid of ones you don't!
