Default Apple TV

Anyone have Apple TV? Wife and I are thinking about switching because neither of our jobs allow for us to watch much TV on our time (when we want to watch shows). We use DVR for everything and I have heard some good, some bad regarding Apple TV. Mainly curious what the sports experiences are like....

Any info would be tremendous! Thanks!

I have had an Apple TV for a couple of years. Not bad for netflix or mlb online (with a subscription). Not too impressed with most of the other features since those are the only two I really use. You can view YouTube videos and they also have moives but you have to purchase them. Most of the programs that you can use with the Apple TV are subscription type applications.

i knew a friend that had one and I wasn't really impressed.

plus, with all the bluray players coming out that are "Smart", they do the same features more or less for a fraction of the cost.

Agreed! Unfortunately, though, my team is the Orioles and I live in a MASN broadcast area so it will always be blacked out!

Won one from Pepsi in August that came with a 6 month subscription to Hulu Plus. Have only turned it on a total of 3 times since August. Don't have a sub to Netflix or I may use it more. But with Hulu you still have to sit through commercials and there are sites online where I can watch the shows without commercials. Looks like Roku has more options.
