depends on positions and what you do for a living.

can't be no worst than dating someone who went to the same High School as you....

This.

Met my wife when I was 20 and she was 19...I walked in on her job interview at a retail store in Bloomington, IN (IU Campus). We didn't start dating until the following summer (a year later) and eventually it got to a point where I had to tell her one of us HAD to go, and since I was making the big bucks ($5.25/hr, back in 1993), she should be the one.

She went and got a job next door at the video store, sitting around watching movies and making $8.00/hr. That still stings.

We got married in 1998, and celebrated 15 years of marriage (and 20 overall) this past April. So ... I'd tell you it's not the best idea, even though it did work out in the long-run for us. But it did get to a point where we just couldn't work together.

The ironic thing is, today, we do work together. She's a counselor in the very building that I teach 7th grade SS.

Met my woman at work... It'll be 5 years in January and we have two kids together... I've also had some shitty relationships with women I've worked with... Most of the time they were gone pretty much right away but its super awkward if things go bad and tour stuck working together

I met my now wife when we both worked at Target. We worked in different areas and typically different shifts so it was fine. If it's someone you work directly with...it may not be a great idea.

I dated a girl once that I worked with a department store while I was in college. It's a bad idea if and when the relationship plummets. You're stuck working together and if you're required to communicate with them (as most people have to do with coworkers) then it just makes for a very awkward and somewhat tense working environment. Overall, not a good idea. But, if she's that hot and she seems to be into you, then go for it.

I agree with the guy on the last page who said it depends on where you work. For instance, I worked with her at a department store. There are plenty of jobs like that, and was just extra spending money for me while in college. Now if this is your career, I'd say look, but don't touch.

-The dynamics of each workplace are unique. But if you are their superior, odds are this will end badly. If you are equivalent in duties and pay, slightly less risk but you have to know their background. One crazy date later and you could be facing a world of accusations and negative feedback at work. If they are your boss, the majority of the risk seems to be with them.

From my own anecdotal experience, it isn't worth the risk, but it depends on the environment and individuals involved. Bottom Line: Don't go in without an extraction plan.

Good luck and happy hunting.

So are you trying to say that I shouldn't sleep in the kitchen or sleep in an oven?

In my lifetime, I've probably had "relations" with at least 10 female co-workers, and it never EVER ended well.

Only ended in me getting fired once. So for me, it's 90% good, 10% bad. :turkey:
