Default For those who use ebay to see Best Offer prices...

I've been bored the last couple of days, so I wrote a Chrome extension that puts the actual Best Offer prices into search results and individual item pages. It's automatic - just add it to your extensions and you should start to see real prices inline instead of the crossed-out BIN prices. If anyone's interested, PM me your email and I'll send it along.

There are some limitations:
1. It's slow, especially when processing a page full of search results. To some extent this can't be helped, as the search results page doesn't store best offer prices, so I have to download the item pages in the background. I'll work on making it "feel" faster for the next release.
2. It only works on ebay.com, not the international sites (ebay.ch, ebay.in etc.). Sadly the code ebay generates is wildly different from one site to another, and a lot of them don't seem to store this information at all. This may be solvable by grabbing the data from ebay.com, but I'll save that trick for a future release.
3. Not sure if it leaks memory; my Javascript is still a bit rusty (as in "haven't used it in 10 years" rusty).

On the plus side, it works (at least, for me)

I'm aware of this, but a) it's kind of annoying and b) this trick stopped working for .co.uk/.ca/.ch etc, so I have no reason to believe they'll keep it available for .in.

Like I said, this is just a thing I did when I was bored. If you don't need it, that's ok too

Gotcha! You sound a bit offended, that wasn't my intent. Your way definitely works!

Another way, just go here: eBay's Most Watched/Popular Items and Auctions [USA] + How Many Watchers - WatchCount.com℠

Paste the eBay item number into the search box and hit search ... VOILA! sold price!:turkey:

I'm not saying there aren't other ways to do it, just making a little tool for my own convenience. I can see the prices directly in the search results.
