The ketchup and chips thing. Fine.

But the ketchup on pancakes thing? Are you kidding me? No way. That's awful.

9 LOL Bears

The pie and cheese thing. Yeah, as someone else said, I've heard of that, sounds weird but not as bad as ketchup on pancakes. Gross!!!

HA HA! Here is what happened. You got 10 LOL Bears for wit, charm and regionally accuracy. You hit that one out of the park. But, then you completely neutralized it, in fact took it NEGATIVE, once you brought up that, that, that damn boomerang thing.

Listen, this is a thread about odd foods....and to go and mix the thought of that boomerang with things we eat? Well, you really outdid yourself there!

I don't eat this, but my wife does:

cut up hot dogs and cucumbers with pork gristle, Japanese style peanuts, these hard little things called churritos all mixed in a cup with lemon juice, hot sauce, soy sauce, and this crap called Clamato (tomato juice mixed with clam juice). Sometimes topped with mayo.

The thing is that she is not the only one to do it. It is a popular snack where she is from. I refuse to lock lips with her after she eats that crap.

There is ONLY one explanation for that. Someone, somewhere, at some point, literally went through the kitchen/fridge and put together EVERYTHING they had left and mixed it all together. At that moment, this incomprehensible concoction was born. That can - I hope - be the only explanation.

It sounds....awful.

TEN LOL BEARS.

The bar has absolutely been set. From this point forward, all entries will judged relative to this.

They some weird shiznit down south. Try this on for size (Again, my wife will eat this if offered it and have been dubbed Tosti-locos):

kind of spicy Tostitos (the Tosti part of the name), boiled corn kernals, mayo, hot sauce, Japanese style peanuts (alone they are delicious), sour cream, and this weird sauce called chamoy (I cannot explain what that crap is). Slice up hot dogs are optional, and often requested when available.

It is funny. None of these things in isolation sound bad, in fact, they are all good, tasty things.....but put em all together and that is when things start to get weird.

This food/mess/bomb/whatever you call it.....is strange.

9 LOL Bears for your wife, not you.

Baked potato, topped with white country gravy, and then topped with cottage cheese. I could eat that all day!

(Love this thread, btw. I will definitely be trying a few of these.)

Here's my drink concoction of choice:

Any Light beer, tomato juice, pickle juice, jalapeno juice, mustard, salt & pepper, & a few drops of Worcestershire. It's so much better than an average red beer.

Ketchup & cheese on bread? Not so bad.
Pringles with whipped cream? That's strange dude.

BTW --- "whipping cream"? You're SO Canadian.

Nick Kroll (on 'Kroll Show') does a really funny impression of a Canadian highschool student; I laugh because he uses all the words that Canadians tend to use that are different from the words we use here in the U.S. Great show, very funny!

Growing up, I ate butter, bologna, and cheese sandwiches all the time, as well as salami and cream cheese. Heck, still eat the latter.

These are all pretty simple, but I'm quite sure they're not normal

1. I ate Ramen Noodles a lot when I used to train in college. My favorite was uncooked with spray butter (do they even make that any more??)

2. Salt & pepper or tabasco on any type of melon (watermelon, canteloupe, etc.)

3. Fried chicken gizzards w/ syrup <-- of course, I'm from the South

Oh, and yeah, I'm into the whole pickle juice thing...

2 eggs, cooked over easy mixed in a bowl with grits, sausage, coffee gravy, and coca puffs . My mom would fix this for me almost every Sunday morning when I was growing up.

You wold enjoy burgers here in NZ - fried egg in burgers is pretty much the norm!

One of the Best burgers I have had is at one of the local take-aways down the road from me:
Southern style chicken patty + angus beef patty + crispy stips bacon + egg + lettuce + tomato + beetroot + BBQ sauce + Onion Rings

I also enjoyed making a sandwich with as many spreads as I can find - peanut butter + honey + vegemite + nutella + strawberry jam + cheese = amazing

Peanut Butter and Jelly toast cut into 4 squares and dipped in coffee! Dad and Grandfather introduced it to me. Eat it every morning...

Edit: Also LOVE Thin Mints (Girl Scout Cookies) right out of the freezer dipped in sour cream...

I'm also big fan of the ketchup and Potato chips thing. Damn good.

Also, I was going to say Fishsticks and Custard, but don't think there's enough Doctor Who fans on this board to get that joke
