Default Robocop

Not my kinda movie, but I had to go see it considering it was my favorite movie as a kid. I mainly stick to comedy and horror now.

I was positive this one would blow, but I have to admit it's one of the better movies I have seen lately. They did an amazing job with the remake

It was a favorite of mine as a kid too, and that's the reason I won't see this piece of garbage. No thank you. No need to remake something that was already awesome and perfect.

I don't think it's fair to call it a piece of garbage without seeing it. I'm a huge fan of the original if you could not tell and I plan on seeing it this weekend. I've heard enough good things to warrant giving it a shot. Had it gotten nothing but bad reviews I may have steered clear of it, but right now it's got about 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, much higher than I would have thought. Who would've thought that Robocop would get a higher Rotten Tomato score than Monuments Men?

I'm gonna see it as well, I saw Monuments Men and has to be one of the most dissapointing movies of the year.

I passed on the remake of Total Recall, but I'm tempted to check out this remake.

Robocop is one of my favorite films of all time, and I was fully prepared to hate the hell out of this remake, but.... I didn't. It was a very pleasant surprise. Jose Padilha distanced himself from the original enough to where I wasn't at all comparing the two. This stands on its own two feet and touches on a lot of things that the original didn't really bother with. The original is still the better movie, but at least they put their own mark on this one.

I love the original, have both normal and unrated cuts of the Robocop..I just got back from seeing this one in Deerbrook movie tavern..I have to say, I enjoyed it..It was a nice different spin on the original, with some fun things thrown in for fanboys. I actually enjoyed the way they portrayed Murphy..It had a good storyline, and was nice to see a remake that didn't suck..I don't even know I would call it a remake, it had some character names the same, but the storyline was different. I liked the fact they made murphy a little more human..

I was gonna pass because of the Pg-13 rating. I thought it was a great way to kill the remake. Seems like a lot of you guys liked it. Maybe I'll give it a chance after all.

I'll just stick with the original and die happy.

I'll see this movie eventually, but I'm not paying to go see it in a theater. Very few movies can get me to do that anymore.

as a kid loved robocop
but it is not an remake i am eager to see

how many movies since robocop or even before follow this mold
guy left for dead by bad guys and now avenges their almost death - now throw a robotic suit on them or a skull tee shirt and a bunch of guns
