So China has had images since 3/9 but waited three days to release them?

I read it as the satellite took the pictures on the 9th but they only got around to reviewing them recently.

Who knows though...

Yah... apparently (obviously) there are 100s of 1000s of square miles of pictures to look through. Searching for a needle in a haystack.

So if this turns out to be the crash site, there's no way this plane took a U-turn. Can't believe all the rumors out there. These poor familes have heard nothing but BS for 6 days now. All they've gotten from the Malaysian government so far is the pilot's last words before signing off. Again, that tells them nothing. You have to feel for them.

what was his last words? I thought that he didn't say anything and the plane's tracker went dead.

I agree with this. Right now, I feel like the government is holding back info to keep the media and for comic relief. There is no way that this should happen in this day of age.

Very sad actually.

A Malaysian air traffic controller told the pilot, “We have to hand you over to Ho Chi Minh City." The pilot responded, “All right, good night.”

I don't get how no underwater devices caught notice of the plane crashing to locate the plane yet. In an area with a fair amount of earthquake/tsunami potential, they have some research stations there. A plane crashing into the ocean should generate something noticeable that they can use to pinpoint the location.

Except if it was blown up in the sky, from the combination of the explosion and the height it would have blown up from. By the time the pieces hit the water, they probably would have been far enough apart and small enough to not have generated much of a reading on anything

Used to be called Saigon before the North Vietnamese took over the city and renamed it back in the 70's.

I thought the U.S. or someone said that the satellites in that area didn't pick up any evidence of an explosion so it sounds like it more than likely just crashed.

My question is, why hasn't someone already flown to the suspected crash site and looked yet?

It's been 16 hours since this was reported.

I heard China did, but they're not releasing the results for another 3 days

I guess it's their choice. The majority of the people on board was Chinese Nationals.

Leads me to believe that they found it, which is better than not.

Reports are saying the "crash" site isn't really a crash site. China could be full of it.

Theory being floated that the plane landed somewhere to be used later in a terrorist attack. I don't believe it but at this point you can't say "no" to anything.

After seeing the special on Giant Squids YOU CANNOT rule ANYTHING out! Up until recently they didn't even exist, just a sailors story per se, until a 30 foot long testicle washed up on shore! Now I'm a belieber!

They found nothing where the sattilite photos showed objects..

Now they are saying the plane flew for 4 hours longer than originally thought.

As I said above.

They said that is around 2,000 extra miles it could have flown.
