That's the problem though.

It wasn't picked up by any other RADAR. (That they know of)

A Boeing 777 with a cruising speed of 562 MPH & top speed of 590 MPH flying for an additional 4-5 hours...

Also, turning off the plane's transponders can be done to avoid radar detection.

A tentacle, not a testicle. Huge difference.

Indeed...

Hijacked and hidden? US counter-terror officials fear plane could have been captured after debris spotted by Chinese is ruled out and new data reveals it was airborne FOUR hours after vanishing | Mail Online

Was missing jet HIJACKED? US officials fear MH370 was captured and flown to mystery location after debris seen at sea is ruled out and new data reveals it was airborne FOUR HOURS after vanishing
  • US investigators examining whether flight was taken to another location
  • Officials suspect data from engines suggests plane flew total of five hours
  • Counter-terrorism officials concerned pilot or someone else turned off transponders
  • Four more hours of flight time would allow the plane to fly 2,200 nautical miles
  • That would put Pakistan and the Arabian Sea within reach
  • Malaysia Airlines previously said the Rolls-Royce Trent engines stopped transmitting monitoring signals when contact with the plane was lost
  • On Wednesday the Chinese government satellite imagery was released which showed the 'suspected crash site' of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370
  • Blurry images appeared to show three large pieces of debris - the largest of which is 78-feet by 72-feet
  • Vietnamese and Malaysian aviation chiefs ruled this out and said no plane debris was found at spot shown by China's satellite images

Follow up to the story above...

'No wreckage, no cracks in the fuselage and no secret engine data': Clueless airline officials rule out EVERY new crash theory - so when are they going to come up with some REAL information? | Mail Online

'No wreckage, no cracks in the fuselage and no secret engine data': Clueless airline officials rule out EVERY new crash theory - so when are they going to come up with some REAL information?
  • Defence minister continues to defend Malaysia's response to missing plane
  • Mishammuddin Hussein said reports it kept flying for hours were 'inaccurate'
  • He said China released images showing suspected debris 'by mistake'
  • Also insisted all maintenance checks on the plane 'were in order'
  • He did say it was possible the plane continued flying and that they would widen the search further to the west
  • He also said the search had been placed above Malaysia's national security
  • Six days on and a massive international air and water search involving 10 nations using 56 surface ships have failed to find a single piece of debris

...Crazy...

I wonder if it could have reached Somalia. It would not surprise me if a group from that country was involved in this. They hijack boats, so why not planes. I would think there would be some sort of ransom by now though.

If it was flying low enough I don't think you can detect it on radar.

It could have flown west straight over the ocean to Somalia.

Technically it was a spelling mistake, not grammar. And I do have a sense of humor.

Y so mad bro?

Well think about that for a minute? That would increase the degree of difficulty on everything, including the landing...

Unless the Pilots were on board with this, and they hijacked it, I doubt a amature hijacker could pull this off.

IF the plane was hijacked the pilots MUST have been in on it...or at least one of them. This is just so bizarre...I'm obsessed with this story...

They could have forced the pilots to do anything if their lives were being threatened. I'm just speculating.

Never seen it, but there are people that have been taken hostage and have been in that country for years.

a lot of people learn how to fly planes
hyjackers could have had experence
there were 2 of them so flying a plane could be no problem
and the area to search of 2000 circular miles is HUGE
this is starting to get to be a concern beyond the loss of life

Why has the US or CHina for that matter not used a cell phone that is still working to widdle down the range to where the call is going
to get a ballpark location

The article states the plant could have reached the Arabian Sea or Pakistan. The 4 hours extra flight time was roughly 2200 nautical miles.
