That puts an end to my theory. There's so much false information out there it's hard to even guess what happen at this point.

Out of curiosity and my laziness to figure it out myself. How is it that they discovered the engines ran for an additional 4 hours. They have this information but no additional tracking information on the plane?

The U.S. is searching in the Indian Ocean, so I guess they believe it kept flying, but the Malaysian's are saying it didn't fly for 4 more hours. Who knows.

Why they believe the plane flew for 4-5 additional hours...

U.S. Investigators Suspect Missing Malaysia Airlines Plane Flew On for Hours - WSJ.com

Quote:
Aviation investigators and national security officials believe the plane flew for a total of five hours, based on data automatically downloaded and sent to the ground from the Boeing 777's engines as part of a routine maintenance and monitoring program.
Why they had no more additional tracking information...

Same article from above.

Quote:
U.S. counterterrorism officials are pursuing the possibility that a pilot or someone else on board the plane may have diverted it toward an undisclosed location after intentionally turning off the jetliner's transponders to avoid radar detection

This may be based on the amount of fuel it had. You can see in the picture that the distance was to Beijing which was to be it's final destination. Planes are only given enough to get to were they need to go and are not designed to land with the added weight of a lot of extra fuel.

If this is accurate, it will be a miracle if this is found. It could be anywhere from Southeast Asia to Australia... Unreal.

I knew what it was, but not where it was. My knowledge in geography is absolute garbage.

As long as religion exists it will never be over. Prayer can't prevent the war on terror, it can only make it worse.

God bless

I'm amazed at the people that choose to look only at the negatives religion has produced and refuse to weigh the positive benefits for billions of people.
It's like assuming all atheists and agnostics have the same capability as Adolph Hitler: Hitler had fully discarded belief in the Judeo-Christian conception of God by 1937.
It's absurd and insulting to peaceful religious people everywhere (regardless of religion).

I'm an agnostic and I can see the positives in religion. I know it has been a valuable tool in shaping our society. However you can't discredit the fact that there will always be the fanatics who take it too seriously and kill for it.

For sure. However, many people love to drag religion through the mud any chance they get when there is no credible evidence for religion to have any involvement in the discussion. Yet, here we see the implication of, "stuff like this wouldn't happen if there was no religion."

So now the Malaysian military reports of an unidentified plane crossing the peninsula look to be correct (again).

This then, is definitely a hijacking?

Crashed into the ocean in that wide an area, unless the U.S. government knows something (with this whacky redirect of a warship to the Indian Ocean), it is going to be a long time in finding this thing.
