Default 5 hour energy...

I had my first and most likely last 5 hour energy today. I drank it at exactly 3:30pm. I was hoping to be in bed by now. It doesn't appear in the near future for me. I wish I could figure out how to get this scanner to work again so I could post some cards for sale...

How long does this stuff really take to wear off?

I was pretty productive today so that is a plus.

That stuff barely works for me...mine as well call it 2 hour energy in my case. Lasts no longer than any other energy drink or coffee for that matter. I think it sucks.

Productive? Thats great!

Let me ask this: were you able to concentrate more after you took it?

Agreed. Our neighbor went down to Florida and he was driving. Had some of that stuff. He comes back with a nice rash.

I have significantly cut down my caffeine intake and that is probably why it is still lasting this long. I went through a pretty nasty detox. I tried to cut down on caffeine and processed foods at the same time. Big mistake!

Yeah, I got it for my husband to try because he has a wrestling tournament next weekend and he is always lethargic his first match or 2. We were going to drink them together and didn't want to drink it today but I still went ahead with the plan.

Not at first but after an hour I felt a little more focused.

That may not have been from the 5 hour energy...

The one time I took No Doze I was channeling Alex P Keaton when he took speed. I had a much better experience with 5 hour energy when I had to work 3rd Shift in a United Way Win a Worker for a Day deal.

Alex P Keaton experiments with speed and develops Parkinson's. May God have mercy on me when I turn 40 with the **** I've experimented with lol

I've jumped on and off the caffeine bandwagon a couple of times in the past year. Each time I get back on it, half a diet coke does what 2 cans of monster would do.
I'm caffeine free now, but maybe I'll give 5HR a try next time.

The crash on that stuff is brutal. I got really dizzy and passed out in the passenger seat of the car.

I had a panic attack and near nervous breakdown after consuming too many doses of venom and yellow jackets while distance driving.I drink a 12-cup pot of coffee every day. I've never tried 5-hour energy.

Josie
you have to do them in moderation especially if you have a low tolerance for niacin or are even allergic to it. I get the generic ones from fry's here and there and will sometimes get the real ones. I can make one little bottle last about 3-4 servings. they don't hit me like a lot of other people. I have a pretty good tolerance to caffeine because of the hours I keep. I keep a couple on hand just in case.

I did go all of February with out having anything carbonated.

I have found the V8 diet energy (Cran/ras and straw/lemon) to actually work better than anything else also the FRS low cal drinks are good too.

I have tried many many many different energy drinks over the years. I had to jump off in 2011 because I actually developed ulcers and other issues in the tummy.

I only took it once and it did more for my colon then my alertness. But to be honest I have put some many illegal substances into my body over the years I think my tolerance for most upper/alertness type stuff has been raised to an almost impossible to reach level.
