Me too. I don't know what doge or meme are. I looked it up, but don't know exactly what is meant.

Does Ultra Pro have historical use in order to trademark?

In the thread you posted, ultra pro states they have a license to use the trademark from doge. So what's the big deal?

Yeah, I don't want to disagree with the reputable analysis over at Reddit, but this seems pretty harmless to me.

It sounds like they contacted the owner of the dog and worked it out with them. Grumpy cat is licensed out and so are other memes. When I walk into Hot Topic or other stores like that I see lots of Doge type shirts but they aren't using the image that is normally associated with Doge. Why shouldn't the owner of the dog be entitled to some cash? I see nothing wrong with this. Had they tried to trademark the image and meme without working it out with the dog's owner that's one thing, this is something entirely different.

As long as they don't start putting pictures of dogs (or doge?) on my top loaders I don't care what they do.

Can someone explain this to a 48 year old man of caucasian (Northern European) descent who doesn't own an iAnything and would rather rub Ben Gay over his ball sack that read reddit?

Thanks in advance!
