Default Best Baseball video game of all time?

I think through 2008ish I bought baseball games for my systems every year. Some of them, your star players could hit 100+ HRs a year. Some of them you could steal 200 bases. Some you could rob HRs with ease. Just couldn't find anything that seemed even close to realistic.

So, what is your favorite baseball game? Mine was World Series 98 for the Sega Saturn. It had Chipper Jones on the cover, and the Mariners were a blast to play with. The best was that everything in the game was realistic. From running to fielding and hitting. There were some things wrong with it. You could only play 1 season at a time. You couldn't trade, and it seemed about 120 games in the stats would get a bit funky. Regardless was still my favorite.

Here is a clip of the game, and it's horrible graphics

RBI was good.

Tecmo Bowl for football.

You had Bases Loaded too but RBI just seemed so simple, easy & fun.

RBI BASEBALL for the NES AL All Star Team, Sub Out anybody and Put in Big Mac and instant homerun! Saberhagen as the pitcher sweep the corner all day long for strikeouts, purposely stealing bases (or trying) just to get in the run down

I played that game until my eyes bleed in the 90s as a kid good times,

If I want classic baseball play, I would choose Bases Loaded II.

If I want fun factor, I am going with Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 for the SNES.

^^ This game is addicting. You can add different effects to your pitching and batting (see video).

Other ones I like:

- Super Baseball 2020 for the SNES. Also has robots and female players:
- RBI Baseball for the NES, but everyone knows that one.
- There was another one for the NES where you choose to play in several different stadiums, one of them being in outer space, but I can't remember the name of it.

Hah, hah! Yeah, I would play that one at my buddies house at the time. This was the same buddy whose brother sold me 10-card lots of 1987 Topps baseball cards for 25 cents a pop. As we know now, that guy made out like a bandit .

you win and could modify them. If you hit the batter hard enough with a pitch they would explode.

I adored Triple Play Baseball 2000 (Sammy Sosa on the cover) mainly because it brings me back to that summer where I played a full 162 game season in the game. I think I won over 140 games and easily won the World Series. I have vivid memories though of playing that game in my room with the windows open and a nice summer breeze rolling in. Miss being a kid sometimes.
