Default Protein Supplements

What do you guys use before/after you workout? I use BiPro 100% Whey Protein and like it a lot but figured I would ask opinions of others!

NO Explode with a BCAA pill and creatine pill (pre workout)
Water (during workout)
Whey isolate protein with creatine pill (post workout)
2 protein shakes during the day
Casein whey protein before going to sleep

Look into the Optium Nutrition brand, their product is fantastic.

Dymatize Elite is great. One of the better mixing proteins you can buy. ON & BSN make great protein powders as well.

Most of the time though I just consume more meals throughout the day. Cheaper & more efficient than drinking protein shakes all day.

Its funny because it's only about 120 grams at most, depending on how much each scoop is. I shoot for 200 grams of protein a day, sometimes I don't quite get there, and I think that is not enough., but 250 is just a bit much food wise.

I used to use Optimum nutrition Whey isolate, but find that a good banana and PBJ get the job done, which is also cheaper. Stopped protein powders all together. Food is much better, ten out of ten times, than powder. Powder is much easier though.

I'm not picky about how tasty my protein powder is. I'm more concerned about price per serving.

I normally make a few protein pancakes in the morning. A shake if I'm hungry between meals, one always after a workout, and one before bed. I average 5-6 scoops daily. Goal is 1.5g/lb bodyweight.

Creatine has an insane amount of science behind it. I can always tell when I'm on and off of it. Muscle recovery is up, I can bang out an extra rep or two, and I don't get soreness nearly as much. 15+ years of taking it.

Personally I don't do shakes. Never can get over the bad taste. Protein bars are my way to go but may try the Quest Protein Shakes eventually.

I'd rather cheat and shake it up. Ha! Average day I'll eat four meals though. Hard to eat a fifth.

I was never into supplements much. I was able to bench 200% of my body weight without ever taking a supplement. Good luck.

^This guy knows what's up.

I'm in a cutting phase, so I'm not eating a ton. Trying to keep protein well higher than carbs, so shakes help a ton. I use Synthasix Whey/Casein blend.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day

Red meat and milk contain casein, don't need the sups

Eggs/greek yogurt = protein bomb (even better, omega 3 enhanced eggs)

Canned PINK salmon = Protein nuclear bomb

Cottage cheese before bed, don't need the blend

The only thing you may really need to take is a daily multivitamin

Carbs won't make you fat, bad eating habits make you fat. Eat low GI carbs and enjoy what you eat.

Look into the Optium Nutrition brand, their product is fantastic.
are you a body builder? what's the point of taking so many supplements if you're not a body builder or an athlete? i hope your name is on the "i need a new liver" waiting list. creatine does more harm than good

I make my own pre-workout, it is cheaper and I can regulate what I put into my body. Protein I eat chicken, eggs, beans, salmon, etc. I refuse to input protein powder into my system, I can't justify the cost when I already am purchasing food. I just pay attention to the foods I eat and make sure I hit my daily needs.

Too much non-regulated materials for me.

If you haven't try out some supplements from Bulk Supplements.. Very cheap and the best stuff on the market..

I take Creatine Mono before I workout
Protein Shake with Glutamine after Workout

I used to take animal stack (3 years ago), that worked real well but taking 8 different pills a day wasn't ideal..
