Forget about the fact they got blanked again, the fact they ran around taking rabbit punches to a guy's jaw who just came back from a concussion is pretty pathetic. Ryan Whitney is a tough guy all of a sudden ? He got his ass kicked by friggin Jeff Carter for crying out loud this year. When Roberts did it first to Franzen I figured its just his style, he is still po'd for getting scratched and maybe he was trying to give him a shot to the chest. Whitney giving him one late and then Malkin jumping him in a pile-up is a joke.

Bam,
well said! Whitney is a joke and seems to think that he is a hardass all of a sudden. I hope he puts his head down for two seconds in the next game and then looks up just in time to see Kronwall blast his ass.

Ugly game for the Penguins....they really have to re-group and get their heads together and calm down if they have any shot at even winning a game. Since I have been watching hockey, I have never seen the wings playing better then they have this playoff run (well I am young).

I'm hoping for the let down that the Wings had in 2 of the first 3 series. They come out flying at home and play like a team that can't be beat, but then slow down and look vulnerable.

I agree with you that at home they do look more sharp. But I don't think that they are slow on the road or vulnerable, they just play more "back/ relaxed" and puck position because every series so far this year they have been up 2-0. I don't believe you are going to see that for this series, not in the Stanley Cup. They know that the Pens are still no joke and will come out playing hard at home, so they will have to put more pressure on their forwards for sure. Should be interesting to see how the Pens come out in game 3 at home. This is urgency time now. Game 3 is a must win and they still haven't figured out how to get through the Defense of the Wings.

I'll give the Wings credit, they are the best team in the NHL at playing pre-rule change style hockey with the subtle clutches and interferences. (not saying that as an excuse for poor play of the Pens) That D is a killer, they don't take chances and stay at home better than any team I've watched this year.

tell me that wasn't the greatest thing you have ever seen
Datsyuk putting the checks on people, then stands up for Zetterberg getting thrown to the ice, then in the last min. scuffle he is throwing fists all over
