Default Fantasy Draft Advice

I have the 2nd pick in the draft of a 10 team league. I know LT will be gone.

Do you think I should take Adrian Peterson, Brian Westbrook or Steven Jackson?

I'm worried about their durabilities with basically all of them being injured last year. AP is going into his sophomore season and I'm worried about the Sophomore jinx. Westbrook just got a new contract. Jackson is still holding out and he plays for a sucky team that will be playing from behind alot.

Any suggestions?

Well, unless I am missing something or if AP gets hurt before you draft......I would take AP :P

Brian Westbrook is a great RB, and I'm a die hard Eagles fan, but no way would I pass up AP if he's available.

I wouldn't touch Jackson unless I was desperate for a #2 RB right now either because like you said, he's holding out and who knows when he will play if at all this year and well like you said.....he's on the Rams.

Oh and there is a small chance (unless you know the people in the league you are in) that Brady might go #1......as much as I disagree with him being the #1 pick which would leave LT available. Then you can try and decide between LT and AP

I'd take AP if your set on a RB. Personally I snagged Brady with the #1 pick and still not sure I wouldnt do it again. Brady is a gamer and Pats have a solid offense and he's been very reliable over the years. AP is still a great pick. MN may have the best O-line in the league, so he'll benefit from that.

Obviously the end of next season, hindsight will be much clearer

Go with AP. I won't take Brady until later...he will not be about to replicate his year from last year. He is still the #1 QB but his stats won't be that much different than Manning or Brees, thus not worth passing on a great RB.

I would go with Brady. Only because MN doesn't have a QB. 8 men in the box every play will wear AP down fast.

I am deadset on getting a RB. I forgot to mention that we get points for every reception too. That is why I am contemplating Westbrook.

Peterson played all last year with 8 men in the box and look at his numbers. I am worried about the fact that he never likes to avoid a hit so that will wear him down.

If it has to be a RB then Westbrook may work best in that situation. Ricky Williams is trying to make a comeback.....again

Westbrook always gets dinged up...always.

Williams isn't really making a "comback"...he's just looking good in practice and may get the starting nod.

The second part was sarcasm. The RB line up is questionable this season. LT maybe AP then a lot of questions. I'm just saying it is a QB year for me. There seems to be tons of 2nd tier RB's to pick up in 2nd or 3rd round.

ok depends on league to be honest
base league without any ppr points - AP
league with PPR points (point per reception) - BW
league where qb points dominate (ex i had a league where 20 passing yards were 1 point vs 10 rushing yards = 1 point) so a 100 yard passer got as many as a 200 yard passer and td values where the same id go brady... but only in very very rare league regulations
