Hello all, looking for a little advice....
I'm 6-4, playing my nemesis and division leader, who is 7-3. I beat him the first time, and will own the tiebreaker with a win here. My matchups are terrrible compared to his, what would you do? My roster: QB: Romo, Thigpen, Favre, Quinn RB: Barber, Jacobs, R. Williams, D. Ward, Fargas WR: Marshall, Housh, V. Jackson, Holmes, Avery TE: Gonzalez K: PRater D: Carolina He has... Garrard, Gore, Turner, Fitzgerald, Driver, Winslow, Elam, Pittsburgh He will destroy me at RB, because Jacobs is against Balt. who has allowed 66 yds/game and 1 rush TD ALL YEAR. I need to get the points at QB, as I am at a huge advantage. Would you... 1) Start Thigpen, who is hot and has a great matchup, over Romo, who may not throw 100% or is rusty? 2) Start R Williams over Jacobs, fully matchup based? 3) Who the heck do I start at wideout 2? Marshall is the only sure thing. Any help would be appreciated!!! |

Are you starting 2 QB's or one? Thigpen may be a good pick, but your weighting alot based on the KC/NO game. I kind of like Favre. NE 2ndary is banged up some, and I expect them to throw a decent amount. Bretts a lovem or hatem kind of guy, and his weekly FF stats show it. I'd avoid Romo...but we all know hindsight would win championships.
I'd still start Jacobs...he's a power running and will knock head with the Balt all day. Barber may not be a bad bet either, but NE is solid as well. I'd go with Marshall and Housh. Housh has been pretty solid this year, but Cinci has had inssues finding paydirt. Avery;s gotten great years, but I really don't like St. Louis..but they're playing SF so who konws. VJ has found paydirt 3 out of the past 4 weeks and is emerging as a solid taget...but not fond of anyone playing Pitt. __________________ Blowouts Resident Wade Boggs Collector...also searching for multicolored 07 SPA #129 Tulowitzki By the Letter Rookie Signatures Auto /20 |

thanks for the input.
Start only 1 quarterback, so the decision is that much more important. Thigpen has averaged 26 points the last 3 weeks in my scoring. Favre has been horrible since Romo went down - flat out can't trust him. I was 5-1 until Romo got hurt, promptly lost 3 straight with Favre, and he had a 5 and a 7 point performance in there. I need 25 to compete, IMO. Benching Jacobs will be tough to do, and you're making it tougher!! I'm just afraid he'll have a 14-38 type day. Gore/Turner have dream matchups against me (St. Loo and Denver) |

Giants will move the ball and use Jacobs to pound it into the end zone.
good luck with your decisions. Wish my creditability has higher this year...last year 2nd place (won it the year before)...this year 1-7 ![]() __________________ Blowouts Resident Wade Boggs Collector...also searching for multicolored 07 SPA #129 Tulowitzki By the Letter Rookie Signatures Auto /20 |

Either Quinn/THigpen if you didn't pick Favre, Romo isn't a sure thing this week maybe next week. Thigpen is going up against a weak NO Defense but I can't trust him but maybe you can. Jacobs at RB is probably going to be your best bet. Giants will score so Jacobs should be fine even against Baltimore. Ricky Williams is against Oakland but what if it's Ronnie Browns turn this week. Atleast Jacobs is a sure 1st Back and will get his carries. For WR I'd say Marshall, I'd make a case for V. Jackson but it's against Pittsburgh.
