Man that is a scewy scoring system. All I see is a bonus point league with a side of TD scoring.

Looks to be a very TD heavy scoring league type set up, with receptions are at a premium. Are the points the same for your WR too. If it is it would seem like WR is at a premium and the RB is pretty marginalized. Maybe think about taking Fitzgerald or AJ, these guys are going to score just as many TD's as a top RB but they will also get you close to 10 receptions a game. You may be able to get someone like McCoy on the way back, or get Felix Jones in the 4th round or so. It just seems like a elite WR would be considered a premium in your league. Can you post the WR scoring? Thanks.

-The only way to make this decision is to look at scoring format for *all* positions. Without that, not even sure choosing RB in first round makes any sense. This league is obviously not traditional, and guys like LeSean McCoy could be mroe valuable than AP or even Chris Johnson.
Ray Rice should get more goal line work this year, i'd say him, McCoy, maybe Jamaal Charles are top 3 running back choices. I strongly suggest you review the scoring settings for all positions, figure out which position will likely create the most points for you week in and week out, and grab that position with this pick. Good luck. lobo_hacker, who has no idea what an 'auction draft' league is. It's either auction or draft, not both. That is, unless yer into some freaky hybrid fantasy stuff... |

Travis who is in charge of this league? How is it that their isn't a category for rushing yards..just seems odd to me
Well if you need TD's I would go with one of a few options AP Ray Rice Jamal Charles CJ The teams that needed QB's this season but had an awesome running game will have the RB play makers.

I would go with Ray Rice. Plenty of receptions, should get plenty of goalline work this year with McGahee gone. Also the Ravens signed all-pro fullback Vontae Leach from the Texans this season, so I think he will help a lot!

Again I'd love to see the WR scoring. Like i said earlier, depending on if the WR scoring is the same as RB's then I would have no qualms grabbing a WR with that pick. By the time you get to pick again you are not going to have any high quality WR's who get lots of looks and TD's. Whereas someone like McCoy, Jones, Best, may be there when it comes back. I also think someone like Ryan grant who is going very late can help. He will catch alot of balls from Rodgers if he stays healthy. More than likely a top flight WR like AJ, Fitz, Megatron, or White will be gone.
Compare Megatron and AP last season. Both scored 12 tds last season, but CJ had 77 receptions and AP had 36. You get no points for yardage so TD's and REC's is all that matters. Also if you get bonuses for long TD catches you would get even more out of a player like Johnson. Johnson is going to catch more long TD passes than AP is going to run for long TD's. If your league is set up this way it absolutely makes sense to take a player like Johnson over Peterson. You have to look at the league you're playing in before you just arbitrarily say I'm taking the best RB available. You are going to get more points with a elite WR than elite RB over the season on this type of league. |

WOW sorry guys this looks really stupid because the commish just told me the yards accumulated are combined scrimmage yards. Thats what happens when i join a league that is out of state lol, here is the scoring for yards.
1 point for every 10 Scrimmage Yards (0.1 per) 3 extra points when total Scrimmage Yards is greater than or equal to 100 3 extra points when total Scrimmage Yards is greater than or equal to 200 3 extra points when total Scrimmage Yards is greater than or equal to 300
