On one hand I like the 1st or 2nd pick to get LeBron or Durant, but you wouldn't get another pick until 23 or 24. On the other hand it's nice being in that 8-12 range because you will get a great player in the 1st round and another in the 2nd round on the snake.

I like fantasy hoops cause you can still get quality at that 23/24 spot. Smaller roster sizes make teams full of stars usually. I would love 1/2, cause I think LBJ and Durant are just miles ahead of everyone, but I can make any spot work

Definitely agree with you there, KD and LBJ are freaks of nature, and I think LBJ will do much better this season since it's his 2nd year in Miami and the pressure from last season should for the most part be off his shoulders.

There's plenty of talent to be had around 23 and 24, but since you pick so early you're sitting around watching everyone else pick, trying to think of who you might want at 23 or 24, and by then the guys you had targeted are gone. It's the worst when you have a short list of who you want, and in the 5 or so picks before yours, all of them are picked leaving you to make a last second decision based on the evaluations you can make in the 1:30 you have to make a selection.

Like you said though, you have to make it work

On a side note I'm shopping Lamar Odom if anyone needs a solid PF, I could use another PG or a SF.

I knew about PPatt...well, kinda. I knew he had surgery, when I talked to him a few weeks ago, he was 100% healty and ready to go, he could jump higher, run faster, and all-around play better like he did in H.S. since he has gotten rid of the pain. Didn't know the Rockets were going to hold him back. It's all good though.
Actually I am talking about Boogie, didn't know in SAC he hurt his ankle and is out for an unknown time. Cuz was my starting center, and now I am thinking about shopping him.

Bumping this thread, and hopefully everyone in the league is still subscribed.

A recent trade was accepted, and it turns out that the league (every owner) has a vote to say allow or veto the trade. Just sending this message out to everyone to let them know that if you have a second, to please try to vote on each trade to keep things fair.

I'll be making a thread on the ESPN page every time a trade is accepted. It will then be up to everyone to vote on it.

Well that's unfortunate. I have run leagues with issues in the past so I get where you're coming from. Why add another headache especially when you don't get squat in return?

What if I start one, would you join? We would draft a few days late but we could still do it.

After I voted against a trade last year that I deemed unfair (though it still went through), every time I tried to make a trade, it got vetoed, regardless of who I was trading with, fair or not. I was pissed.
