Fantasy Football problem

I set up a paid league this year and it all went for the worst. There was one family that nobody else new that stacked up one team to win. Every time I had to veto their trades, but some slipped through. Such as, ingram, tolbert, and sanders for mike wallace, tebow, and maurice morris, cam newton for simpson and fitzpatrick, fitzgerald for baldwin and tebow. Then some of the declined trades were bills d for ravens d, mjd for torrey smith, demarco murray for torrey smith etc. While all of this was going on the family still had not paid the league fee of 20 dollars. I posted that if the family didn't pay within 2 weeks the team would not get their payout. So, of course the team that was stacked ended up winning and I told him nicely nice job, but I can't pay you to sum it up. Then he shot me an e mail saying it was customary in his league that you can pay at the end of the season and said his family would have paid if they had not won. I told him I find that unlikely and that I still can't pay you.

Sorry for the long post would like some of your guys advice.

F that... he didn't pay up at the start, no cash.

I had a league with some buddies and one guy wasn't paying up so I locked his team. He begrudgingly paid shortly after and actually, ended up winning the league.

But if you don't pay at the start, you don't get the cash.

That is what Im thinking. BTW, Nice job taking charge of your league, I wish I would of done more to stop this.

Tell him to go F himself. If you are going to collude with other family memebers to fix a fantasy league like that, at least have the common sense to pay the measly 20.00 fee before the season ends. What did this moron expect? For you to watch him and his family memebers cook the books all season and then get free money when it's all said and done. I would of locked all their teams out the 2nd time I caught them trying to pull of some BS like that. Unreal.

I should of locked the account you're right it was a mess all season long and he thought that I was an unfair commish for not vetoing my own trades that were fair like maclin for beanie wells that got no veto votes. I am kicking them out next year and it should be a blast with out them.

Thats like going to a blackjack table and telling the dealer that you don't want to pay yet but you want your cards first, and then going to the guy next you and taking something he has to make a hand 21 and telling the dealer to pay up!

I havent paid at the start in my big money league for years. I always have the money and pay him whenever. If it is someone you dont know then I would have to say dont pay them but in my case, Ive played with these guys for 9 years now and I dont think anybody pays on draft day.

Thanks guys for your incite I am not going to pay him and I think that is the right move with all of you guys agreeing to it.

Broncosfan- I had some people I know pay week 5, but I was not accepting payment after that because I didn't want to start a precedent with my friends and not the other members.

And, IMO, no one that has not paid should not even be allowed to draft. I get this was probably on online draft, so next time you set something up with folks you don't know, start early enough so that you can have all payments in before drafting. If someone misses the deadline, their spot goes to somone else.

Not paying until the end of the season is BS and that guy knows it.
