Default Huge PC Sportkings Mail break :)

Played golf my whole life..

Really got into the history of the game about 5 years ago...

Ben Hogan is one of my favorites.. There are some great books and stories of Hogan... Good reads.

Anyway... I never knew this card was made...

Got an amazing steal on it..

The seller was from Canada i have never bought anything out of USA...

But he had it posted as "Ben Hogan Sportking Paper Cuts"

It was posted for a week and only 8 people looked at the auction"

I got it for around 110 dollars... But with my ebay bucks it cost me zero..

That's a great pickup! It was included in Series B back in 2008.

You mentioned not knowing this card existed in the SK brand. I think all kinds of people would be amazed to learn of some of the cards that SK has made.

you should get it encapsulted with the memo "kyle's collection."

I like that idea. If he did it, it would look something like this:

You got 9 for auto... How in the hell is that 9?

BGS is so odd...

Seems any new card that gets pulled out of a pack is a 9.5 10 auto

I see these BGS mail days from BGS

9.5 10
9.5 10
9 10
10 10
9.5 10
9.5 10

it is a joke

Obviously not. Had I jumped at the first chance to show off, I would have immediately posted it before you made your thought provoking comment.

Talking sports with my offline buddies is a lot different than talking about sports cards in an online forum. The answer to your 2nd question is also "no".

I don't mind that it's a 9. People like to comment how BGS favors those that slab a lot of cards. I'm not sure this example would prove that to be true. Grades like this make other grades in my collection more credible...at least in my eyes.

My guess is because the "g" in "Hogan" runs over the account numbers and is partially obscured. To my knowledge, an autograph won't be graded a 10 if any part of it is unreadable or cut off (auto goes off the sticker, goes off the card, is covered by the cut window, etc.).

Man! I wish banks still kept cancelled checks! Just think of all of the checks from famous people that would be floating around for "CUT SIGNATURE" cards. It would be so cool.

Dont believe those are actual cancelled checks thoguh, because of the different acct. numbers, but then again, it is Mr. Hogan, I am sure he could have more than 1 account.
