Default Case Break - Sportkings Series E - 16 Box

Case from blowout. Very fun time - excellent patches and unique autos. Only complaint would be the collation on the base. I shouldn't end up with 14% of the base as doubles and therefore missing 25% of the base set.

Mini's
Isiah Thomas
Steve Mizerak
Steve Cauthen
Kyle Petty
Sasha Cohen
Martina Navratilova
Superstar Billy Graham

Premium Backs
SPO_TK_NGS
S___TK__GS
S_______G_
________G_
I'll be attempting to complete two sets.

Game-Used
Isiah Thomas gu jersey
Ken Griffey Jr gu jersey
Rickey Henderson gu jersey
David Robinson/Bill Walton dual gu jersey
Cal Ripken Jr/David Robinson/Annika Sorenstam/Steve Yzerman quad gu jersey

Patches
Guy LaFleur gu patch
Paul Molitor gu patch

Autos
Sammy Lee
Dick Vitale
Sasha Cohen gold

Auto/GU
Roberto Alomar
Dean Karnazes
Isiah Thomas gold patch
Rod Carew patch
Bjorn Borg gold patch

Case Hit
Tony Oliva painting by Jared Kelly

Its gorgeous, but I'd rather have gotten someone else just from a keeping it in my PC standpoint. Now I'll probably sell to take a shot at another one.

When I checked, most are going $300-$600 with a few spiking higher.

I may be wrong and there may be more than one Tony Oliva, but I don't think Tony O. played for the Reds.

I came into this post expecting to give a short "no, the Twins (where Oliva played) have hats with a "T & C" (for Twin Citites) logo where the C is very prominent, so that's Oliva" argument, but when I did a short Google search I think that guru is right. Search "Tony Perez pictures" and one comes up poseted by Bob Netherton on April 22, 2011. It is EXACTLY the pose that this painting depicts (the shaodowing on the face, the slight sneer, etc). So you are in fact the owner of a Tony Oliva card with a picture of Tony Perez. Still a beautiful card, just a little weird (esp since there's likely no way to replace it).

Maybe the Tony Perez painted card has Tony Oliva's likeness on it.

I bet it was an honest mistake of switching player photos when making the cards. After all, making 256 individual 1/1 paintings in a short period of time had to be anything but easy. Probably why no other company has attempted something like this, and likely never will.

I have no doubt that the Good Dr. will make up for the situation if you want...I think it's kind of a cool 1/1 of a 1/1 error 1/1..or some such

I will deal with this immediately.

If the owner of the card will PM me, I will insure that they are well looked after.

I should have caught this in the initial stage of the painting.

I don't see a logo. I see a white line.

You can't trademark half logos.. The network I work for sued for another television entity showing half our logo.. My employer lost big time. Half things are not trademarked unless they are trademarked as 'half' if that makes sense. Not sure I'm making sense as I've been up since 0300... But yea, there is zero harm zero foul on that helmet
