Topps 2011 WWE classics box break

I recently ordered a hobby box and here were my results. I completed the base set with a few extras.

Gold- Junkyard Dog

Relic- Alberto Del Rio scarf

Autograph- Raw GM AJ

Z

JYD was one of my favorite growing up. I'm pretty happy with the Del Rio relic. The AJ auto was a great pull. All are possibly FT or FS.

Nice box! I think this is one of the sharpest-looking WWE sets out there!

Just FYI, I think its against forum rules to mention other online retailers by name. You might want to edit your post. I order from 'the other guys' all the time (Blowout won't ship to my work address, so I gotta order from someone else!) but make a point of avoiding a specific mention.

Killer break with the AJ auto, congrats!

Thanks for the heads up! Got it fixed! I agree very sharp set but wish it had a few more inserts.

Topps/WWE seems to do two sets per year...

They do the standard set with base, inserts, parallels, hits, printing plates, etc...

And then another, less expensive smaller set with much rarer hits and an emphasis on an easier-to-collect base set. I think these 'secondary sets' are more youth-oriented.

Other 'secondary sets' like that were Champions and Ultimate Rivals. Smaller base sets and no/fewer inserts.

What i think makes Classic so nice looking is that the photos are studio shots rather than action shots, which is what makes up 99% of WWE trading cards images. Not that i don't like action shots, but its nice to change it up once in a while.

Plus... they are all foil and it looks like they use a very similar design to 2011 Finest baseball. Classic is one of my favorites!

Yeah I agree it is a nice set! I thought the autographs in classics were a lot better than the regular 2011 topps set.

Sounds like a great box break! I picked up a few packs of this earlier this year online and got a CM Punk shirt relic. The CM punk auto was a great hit for you! Barrett is nice too...I hope they give him a good push when he comes back!

Yup, great autos from my box... Got the Punk off to BGS at the moment, nicest card I've ever pulled in terms of condition. They were in the same pack, haha.
