THIS IS THE CARD THAT I THINK IS AN ERROR. THE REMEMBERING THE GAMES AUTOGRAPH SET IS SUPPOSE TO INCLUDE ATHLETES WHO WERE PART OF TEAM USA. OLGA KORBUT REPRESENTED THE SOVIET UNION IN THE 1972 OLYMPICS YET SHE HAS A BIG USA IN THE BACKGROUND ON THE CARD. i TRIED LOOKING UP WHETHER SHE APPEARED AS A COACH FOR TEAM USA DURING ANY OTHER OLYMPICS AND i DONT THINK SHE WAS.

SINCE ITS STICKER AUTOS, I GUESS SHE PROBABLY NEVER SAW THE CARD. i WONDER WHAT HER THOUGHTS WOULD BE IF SHE SAW THE CARD.

Yups even though she has retired here, that is just sloppy research for the publisher.

And I thought it was disgusting when Topps had WW2 costume cards with unrelated pictures (from the wrong wars!) in their Heritage Heroes line.

Wasn't she a coach for USA gymnastics later in life?

She did coach later in life but from what I can find online, nver at an Olympic level.

haha... i can't believe nobody at Leaf caught that after making up the checklist. Olga Korbut was a pretty famous Olympian from the 70's, so for somebody to assume she represented Team USA and for it to actually get by quality control and be made is pretty shocking.

i pulled the Olga Korbut 1/1 today and have been trying to figure out why she's on the USA card. if it's a mistake... it's a pretty dumb one by Leaf.

She emigrated to the United States, so she is now a US citizen.
