I do not follow golf at all, but am curious: why is the Tiger Preview card in the scan stamped as Sample versus having a serial number like the others?

Congratulations on your hits!

Hmmm well hopefully I explain this correctly...

In 2001 UD Golf Rack Packs they inserted SP Authentic Preview Packs to kind of entice people to buy SPA when it was released. They included the shirt cards in there (like the Cink and Leonard) which fall two per rack pack case.

So basically (besides the shirt cards since those were only inserted into these preview packs I believe) the rest of the cards are just sample cards that you could pull in SPA.

I got a bunch of cards in the case like that Tiger, I just didn't scan them because they really don't have a lot of value. If you were to get the Gold or Red parallel, which are numbered /250 and /50 respectively, then those can be worth some money, especially the Tiger ones.

I hope that answers your question some.

Thanks for the kind words

Thanks for explaining that!

I've personally opened 22 cases of 2001 UD Golf, and 10 cases of the Preview racks, and only pulled 3 auto's, and never even seen a Tour Gear card, except online. I'm sure any Tour Gear card is 1 in 100 cases, or so. Congrats
Agreed. I must've busted about 10 cases of the preview packs myself and didn't get one Tour Gear Card. To get that one specific cards is lottery jackpot odds.
