The great thing about this card is I'm happy if I sell it or not. I collect hockey cards mostly but a good friend of mine was coming by to watch the truck race. He paints helmets for the Nascar truck series drivers and some cup drivers too so I bought 3 boxes of the press pass legends and we pulled the Dale Auto. I'm not a diehard fan of Nascar like him and watch maybe 1/2 race per year but I like Dale Earnhardt Sr. and adding the card to my collection is not a BAD thing.. Determining the value and whether I should keep it or not was the reason for BIN price. The card is worth a certain amount of money to me personally and if someone offers more than this amount I sell it. Its not that I took too many hits off the crack pipe, its the fact that I wanted to gage the value. I've purchased 3 boxes of Nascards in my life and someone one else had the 2/3 for 5000.00. I do know having his car number is a GOOD thing. There is no reason to get defensive and think that I do drugs because of my Buy it Now price on an Ebay Auction. BUT...
Common sense would tell you that if I smoked crack I would trade the card for 20 bucks DELETED Another comment like that and you will get the boot - MoD |

Geesh....I wouldn't laugh at BIN prices, this is EBAY for crying out loud!
Ebay is where people pay thousands of dollars for grilled cheese and beer cans BTW this is the 2nd mom joke I've seen on this board lately....getting old really fast!

I never get why people get bent out of shape over huge buy it nows. You dont have to buy the card. Theres a guy on ebay that has the tristar projections 1/1 of one of the guys I collect with a buy it now for like $80 I have 4 of the 5 red refractors of the same guy out of chrome and I have about $120 wrapped up in all 4 of them. I would love to get the 1/1 but not paying anywhere near that for it. Im not mad about it though

See, there are actually some people out there who understand how e-Bay works. It is a free market and it is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. The 2/3 sold for $800 yesterday, so that proved those negative individuals wrong. I am thankful that there are some positive people out there who understand that e-Bay is capable of turning unrealistic prices into sales. This is hobby and we all enjoy it. Who would of ever thought that a piece of cardboard could potentially sell for a lot of money? We all see the record sales on cards out there, and it keeps us going as we continue to feed our addiction hoping for that big score. I am glad that we all share this common interest, and rather than spread hate and anger over how much someone lists an item for, let's encourage them, as we all are keeping e-Bay moving forward and looking for that big sale.

Just Changed my Auction Description: SEE BELOW
Well I got the call from Press Pass on the listing asking me to clarify what exactly the redemption is. The poor girl at Press Pass had to go for a stress test due to the high volume of calls this week. Maybe we could send her a card and some flowers to apologize.. The CARD is a 1990's Autograph of Dale Earnhardt Sr. The card will be a numbered card. /100, /50, /25??? The Graded and Slabbed Dale Sr. will be numbered by Beckett on its heading as a 3 of 3. Or if you have the 2 of 3 it will be numbered 2 of 3. The Redemption is numbered 3 of 3 to show that ONLY 3 are available in the set. Special Edition for the 2008 Press Pass Legends. Still his car number but on the Becket Heading. That is all the information I have on this card. Quite confusing to me as to what the card actually is, and what I believed it to be from looking at the numbered redemption. I assume everyone else was as well due to the fact Press Pass contacted me. I want to thank Press Pass for contacting me PRIOR to the close of the auction and saving me from getting Negative Feedback on this listing and possibly killed. A+ Customer Service.. |
