I actually found the post informative and Im certainly not a Sport Kings fan. I would have never guessed it would bring that much and you have to give Wheeler credit for listing it at the right time and getting a premium. Id be curious as to what the true market is on the BGS 10. Will a horse racing fan go nuts over a BGS 10? Probably so, seems to be alot of money in horse racing items if its the right product.

Thank you CD. I can't take credit for the listing though as it wasn't I who sold it. I ran across the auction when searching recent sales.

Pristine 10s are hard to get as most of us know, especially when there's a border on the card like this Secretariat. There aren't many of these cards anyway, so I'm hoping my 10 will be the only one to exist. If I had another one, I'd be testing the market.

It does add an added value to the product, I have to admit. Have you head anything from Price regarding a Series E release?

I haven't heard anything in quite a while. I see they have several new products they are working on, so I'm starting to wonder if Series E will be put off for a while or even made at all.

New products include:

Horrors of War
Hooray for Hollywood
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
TV Scripts
Big Apple Baseball
Making of America

That's a pretty big list of new products. I'm sorry I don't have better information for you.

this is also pathetic, especially since itg is such a small company and puts out such a limited number of products:

I stand behind both of those statements you quoted as they are 100% the truth as I know them to be at the time I made them. If you can prove otherwise, I'd love to see it.

When are you going to realize you're way in over your head challenging me with these issues?

I dont understand why so many people are always busting Wheelers balls. He likes SK and for that you choose to diss him. I have my favorite products too. I think your all pathetic for getting on him for posting about his product of choice all the time. If you dont like him or what he posts about, stay the hell out of his thread.

That's one service I do not provide. There is no tight end/wide receiver in my playbook.

I heard Hog was looking for a summer job........

Another great example of why it is better to give than receive.

I actually have two BGS 10 Secretariat mini cards. Maybe I should take your advice and try testing the market with one of them...

I think that would be great. I'd love to know what one could sell for.

Good luck if you decide to sell one.

Matt - how do you get them to put your name into the plating for the cards? Is it limited so that you can only have 1 BGS of each in the "Wheeler Collection". I remember you telling me you were working on a BGS 10 set of the Gold minis from the Series D. How's that coming along?

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Dan,

BGS will put a limited number of characters of your choice on the slab plate if you pay a little extra. It's called their pedigree service if I remember correctly. There is no limit to the number of cards or slabs they will do this on. I try to have it only put on the best of each card in my collection.

I am working on a BGS 10 of the regular minis, but not the golds. With only 3 of each gold card, I was only working on completing that set no matter what the condition. It's too rare to worry about getting all BGS 10s.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Gotcha. I remember I sold you a gold mini from one of my case breaks.

I assume it was you who won that 1/1 of the wrestler a few days ago? I let the bidding go after about $150, finished around $600.

I see your auction Slash:

2007 Sportkings Series A SECRETARIAT BGS 10 PRISTINE !! | eBay

Good luck! That would be an awesome sale if it hits your BIN or starting bid.

Thanks! Guess we'll see what happens... definitely more "watchers" than I expected to see this early in the auction.

You're welcome.

This forum is good for garnering many "watchers".

I agree Eric but somewhere in all of this I believe the Curse of LT is responsible for most if not all of this
