1998/1999 WCW/NWO autograph card values? - Page 4

i believe the 1998 wwf duocards set might be the first wrestling autograph set. it just wasn't as popular due to the horrible condition and quality of the cards. but it does have some of the absolute rarest autos in it, even more rare than some of the wcw autos. i have only seen an animal once for sale on ebay and i know xpac, mark henry, and undertaker do exist but are impossible to find.

I pulled a Chyna from this set upon release. It was signed in ballpoint pen and there wasn't any kind of COA on the card (that I can remember).

All of them stated on the back that they were certified autographs. as far as i know all of the chyna autos were signed in pen and very hard to see.

Hey guys, actually the first certified wrestling autograph trading cards were from the 1994 WWF Action Packed. The autograph cards were of Savage & the Undertaker. Furthermore, this set has the first variant autograph card too. Savage signed some of the cards Macho Man & others as Macho Man Randy Savage. Do you know If Andre the Giant had a cut auto in Sportkings when he had a card in 2008. As far as I know that would be his only cut on the market. Would be cool to see a picture of it if it does exist.

i know about the 94 action packed autos but i wouldn't call them a set since there are only 2 of them.

a macho man recently sold for $51 and the Undertaker is anywhere from $100 to $200 depending on the day. They are very unattractive cards and the signature are not great on them.

there are 2 certified with the other one being a fleer war booty auto supposedly limited to just 50 signed. there is also the 1998 duocards that was never sent back in for being inserted into packs. the back says it is a certified auto but much like the non-pack-pulled autos from the wcw set they can't officially be called certified.

Hey guys, I wrongly informed you the 1994 WWF Action Packed contained the first certified wrestling autograp cards. That information was incorrect. The first certified autograph trading cards were released in the 1991 Wrestling Legends Trading Card set by Imagine, Inc. Sorry for the oversight. Well after 5 years of being out bid and not having the money I just got my Mikey Whipwreck. I am thinking that paying 170 for it was not a bad deal. I lost out on the other ones in the thread above. I just need the dam raven now I am pretty much done with who I want in the set as Sandman's price will be out of this world when I do find one.

What have Sandmans sold for in the past. So his was never put in packs. He just gave them out?

yes he just signed them at shows and handed them out. I only know of 3 people who personally have one including myself.

There are a few that are even tougher to get. the last sandman on ebay was summer 2010 and went for a low $150 and belongs to another member on the board. i can't imagine one would ever go that low again.

Just came back from PSA!!!
The PSA 10 one has a second signature and ECW Title history added on the back of the card. Very happy that got a 10!

Never seen a whipwreck signed on back. I assume he still has a few to where he can do that since he was selling some a few years back. My blank whipwreck came from him.

So if an ungraded Whipwreck goes for $200 about, what would those two grab you estimate?

BTW: I checked, they are the only 2 ever graded according to PSA pop report. BGS will not grade since they were never inserted into packs.

geoffyb I would think unsigned version you came across has to be ultra rare. Where was Whipwreck selling his cards off when did, ebay , shows? what was he selling them for
