Default Sportkings Series E

This thread is a continuation of the Ken Griffey Jr. signs with Topps thread that got off topic when I mentioned that Ken Griffey Jr. signed with Sportkings first.

Sorry about that.

Any questions or suggestions for Sportkings Series E can be dealt with in this thread.

Apologies to Topps that their thread got off topic.

Did you decide on price for series E ? And what is the box breakdown base to hits?

Would like to know about the cards designed by the artist that did the goodwin presidents..

Will they be in every box or case or will they be a more difficult chase card?

We have retained the artist who painted the Goodwin President cards.

We are determining how many of these cards we are going to produce and how they will be packed out.

Stay tuned.

Would love to see a Chuck Tanner cut auto. I don't think he ever had an autograph or cut in any product prior to passing last year.

Yes he did.

I had a 2004 UD Sweet Spot Legends Autograph that was high serial numbered that I recently sold on ebay for a nice price.

Bobby Knight was recently in Sportkings. How about coach Krzyzewski? Personally, I'd love to see coach Roy Williams too.

A neat insert set might be coaches of National Championship teams. Masters of March Madness.

I know some of these are a pipe dream, but I'd love autos of any of them:

Baseball:
Jose Canseco
Vin Scully (a dual cut with Vin Scully/Chick Hearn would be a dream card for me)
Rickey Henderson
Kirk Gibson

Basketball:
Pat Riley
Phil Jackson

Boxing:
Floyd Mayweather
Sugar Ray Leonard
Sylvester Stallone (Rocky)

Football:
Ara Parseghian
Jerry Jones
Mike Ditka
Maybe a "disgraced coaches" set with Paterno, Tressel, Butch Davis, Pete Carroll, etc.

Wrestling:
The Ultimate Warrior
The Iron Sheik

Other:
Hope Solo
Royce Gracie
Ken Shamrock
Usain Bolt

Maybe a "disgraced coaches" set with Paterno, Tressel, Butch Davis, Pete Carroll, etc.

Will Clark, that's all I ask.

Oh, and if his GU cards were from a Rangers, O's or Cardinals uniform that would rock - every GU card of him has been from the Giants.

Ken Shamrock was in Series C. Some examples are below.

I think once people learn more about Sportkings, they will be surprised at the amazing sports figures that have been, and will continue to be, included.

I am extremely proud of this list. You must remember that we don't product thousands of autograph cards of each athlete and thus signing these types of athletes is not easy to do.

Sportkings Series E will be released early in May 2012.

To add to this, if I understand it correctly, so that others too understand...

Sometimes when dealing with obtaining autographs from athletes, the athletes, (or their agents), require a minimum amount of autographs in order to make what they consider enough money. Sportkings' model is to have limited autographs which sometimes differs from what an athlete wants. In cases like these, I am assuming Sportkings chooses quality over quantity and ultimately passes on obtaining these autographs.

It must be frustrating knowing an athlete will sign for you, but they require many more autographs than you are wanting to insert into your product.

Sports figures like Charles Barkley ought to be a perfect fit since they rarely like to sign in the first place.

You need to get autos of Reggie Miller in your products! I'd LOVE to pull one out of a Sport Kings box.

We have encountered many athletes (mostly their agents) who require a minimum dollar amount to do a trading card deal.

They are used to deals that involve 1,000 autographs; however, our deals involve 200 autographs spread over 4 different cards.

That is why some athletes are not available to us, we try to increase the price per card to make up for the volume and occasionally that works but many of the collectors' suggestions above, have rejected our proposals.

We ever give up, Bjorn Borg said "no" three years in a row and said "yes" this year.

There are some great suggestions above that we are looking into. Thanks to all who have taken the time to post.
