Default Kentucky Derby??
Hey guys, I usually dont post in this thread. Just wondering if anybody is betting tomorrow and who you guys are picking?

Any serious horse betters give me some insight on a nice trifecta or superfecta to pick.

There are too many horses to accurately predict the derby. Honestly...just pick a random one and hope for good position down the stretch.

hansen and rousing sermon

hansen and trinnenberg are speed horses, if they both go out fast and battle then it sets up well for a closer like rousing sermon, but it could just be hansen taking it wire to wire. no idea until they race.

at least bet the 50:1 lol.. even if its just 5 or 10$ lol if they win you get a nice pay day. I always put a few dollars on them just incase.

I'm in a contest where we have 20 spots and 50 per spot you get a random horse if that horse wins you get 600, comes in 2nd 300, and comes in 3rd for 100. Took 6 Spots my horses are:
Daddy Nose Best
Went the Day Well
Daddy Long Legs
Prospective
Tinniberg
Optimizer

No idea about any of these horses and the Derby is too difficult to predict, the last few years the odds on favorite either hasn't won or hasn't placed in the top 3 and a couple years in a row its been a long shot that's won the derby.

If I were going to be on a horse to win it though it would be Take Charge Indy at 7:1 Borel is the jockey.

Usually it's a combination of the sire and mare(if you google horse pedigree you can see where the names are usually in line with one or both of the parents). Here is a link with some rules for naming thoroughbreds. Naming a Thoroughbred Horse

Being from Kentucky I've seen a *ton* of horses race and by far the best name I've ever seen was Panty Raid who won me money on multiple occasions and was a dang good horse.
