Criticisms aside regarding the art, I doubt that you are going to get a high-end autograph set made especially for wrestling collectors for quite awhile.
Personally, some of the art is off-putting. However, I think a majority of it is strong and I don't see how anyone can look at the some of these cards (especially Kamala variant, Rick Steiner, Scott Hall base, Flair variant and Hogan variant) and say these cards are sh!t on the whole. To each their own though--that bodes well for me, as its less people going after them. Geoffy--While I don't think this set is on the same level (historically anyway) as Topps WCW, I know for a guy like me that doesn't need or want to spend hundreds of dollars on some of those cards (i.e. Hogan, Hall, Nash, Duggan, etc.), its a pretty good alternative. Kinda like all the TNA Sting autos have had little affect on the desirability of Sting's WCW auto (or Hogan for that matter), I don't think you are going to see a huge affect on the values of those cards--people are still going to want those for obvious reasons (although I may fail to see the logic of paying $100 for a Duggan WCW auto now!). Nevertheless, Topps WCW will always be the "1952 Topps" of wrestling autograph issues.

I hope more people stay away from these cards. They don't like art, the delay ect. Please don't buy them!!! Makes it easier for us who want them .
I'm surprised how well some of the cards do look. Koko B Ware cards look amazing. Esp the different backgrounds with them and colored inks. Not big fan of him. But will be picking up a couple of his. Jimmy Garvin art looks great. Will be cool seeing original art cards when they get redeemed. |

I agree with that say that some of the art if off putting. But the flip side to that for me is that every wrestler seems to have at least one version that doesn't look half bad. The original Kevin Nash was terrible but his variant autograph looks great I think. Overall it seems like this may have been worth the wait as the cards seem to be selling great and it looks as if boxes are either already drying up or are mostly dried up from most online retailers.
Hell even Pete Rose autos are selling okay it seems, who would have thought that? |

On a personal note, would love to find a Dibiase "Million Dollar Man" variant art with green ink signature . . .

Any idea's on the ink numbers? Seem red and green are about neck and neck as far as number of listings on ebay.
Busted a case, had 2 reds no greens. So not sure. I did look back at the pictures of the guys signing for clues! It was pointless! hahahahah |

I know it's been said to death, but it bears repeating...whomever the "artist" is, they SUCK. This is an epic set brought down a few pegs because of the drawings.
I'll still get a few autos that I want, but I'm not overspending nor will I be busting any boxes. Horrible, horrible art. Anyone saying otherwise is easily impressed.

I just saw Blowout is selling the hot boxes on their website. $159 seems like a fairly good price when looking at them on eBay. While it would be nice to have a chance at these if you were just ordering a normal box I'm not sure what the best way to do that would be. Maybe once an order is placed Blowout would email you asking for a number 1-12 to see if you got whatever number the hot box was prenumbered by Blowout once the case was opened. That's what my LCS did. But it may be difficult for Blowout given the amount of orders they may have gotten for this product.
