wow i am so angry about the spain / portugal game . who's idea was it to keep ronaldo out of the penalty kicks ??????? he is "supposed" to be the best player in europe . so what happened ? did he tell the coach he didnt want to be included ? they were saying how even some fo the star players realy hate the penalty kicks because of the presure .
spain had missed there first attempt. the right thing to do would have been to let ronaldo take the first penalty kick and more then likely score and put the prssure on spain .......... but nooooooooo omg !!!!!!! i cant freekin beleive this !!!! |

Portugal will never win a Euro/WC, they don't have what it takes.

I just read an article saying that they had Ronaldo kicking 5th for the PK's. Their train of thought was that if it was tied going into the last shooter then they wanted their best player to shoulder the most pressure. Too bad it didn't even get that far! Personally, I'd always have my best stricker shoot first in PK's but there's no exact science behind it!

I am highly surprised that no one has came on this this thread and bashed soccer. Ever time I read soccer threads there is always that corn hole that has to run there mouth.
Any ways Im a huge soccer fan. Favorite team is the US Mens National Team, Favorite European team.....Chelsea........ Or any team besides Barca...... Just saying Barca gets me mad. I wanted to see Germany fail just cause there one of the Favorites. When it comes to soccer I enjoy pulling for the underdog. That being said. Im pulling for Italy. They made it this far and I believe no one had them getting to this point. |

Ouch, Spain smashed us.
Italy came out flat. Spain's chemistry proves to be valuable. The defense folded - Chellini injured - then why bring in a player that was injured 2 games prior in Thiago Motta. Plus at that time we needed goals, Diamanti or a striker should have featured, Motta is a defensive mid! Ah well, Italy did better than expected. Good tournament as usual.

So Germany has to wait another two long years for the next chance to bring back a title to Germany. At the end Spain played their best game in the last game of the tournament. I think the second goal was the best !!!
So no more soccer at the moment. Hopefully the German Bundesliga starts soon !!! Best fans at the Euro came from Ireland and this is the picture of the tournament:
