2012 WWE Heritage Autograph checklist

Have any of you checked this out yet? It appears that the best autos are Retail exclusive (Punk, Cena, Howard Finkle, IRS) . . . seems odd that the retail would be that top-heavy when you are trying to sell hobby boxes at $70+

nera20 09-26-2012 11:20 PM

those are all retail autos? who are the hobby autos?

pnft17 09-26-2012 11:24 PM

Would like to see the complete checklists.
Are they stickers?

The Fink have any autos in any other stuff

MasterOfTheDark 09-26-2012 11:27 PM

I'd bet they are stickers. Topps will likely make a BIG deal out of it should they ever do "on card" autos for the WWE guys.

Would love to see a link to the autograph checklists (both hobby and retail).:)!

kingofkings487 09-26-2012 11:31 PM

wrestlingtradingcards.com has the checklist up

nera20 09-26-2012 11:36 PM

pretty weak autograph list

MasterOfTheDark 09-26-2012 11:44 PM

Thanks kingofkings.:)!

Looks like they beefed up the release a bit from the original info that was given out, but still not a fan of it at the price point. To be fair though, I'm just not a fan of the card design either, so that may be clouding my judgement a bit.:D

geoffyb 09-26-2012 11:47 PM

I will just be buying singles. Topps is doing something absolutely stupid with this product

pnft17 09-26-2012 11:52 PM

is this the set that is throwback to 1985 WWF design?

kingofkings487 09-27-2012 12:26 AM

Interesting list of signers, alot of first timers. Did they get a three for one deal on Kama Shango & Godfather :)

pnft17 09-27-2012 08:28 PM

10 1/1 Lawler sketches. Those should be cool.

I like the look of this stuff. Some interesting autos. Papa Shango is a must. I like guys with multiple characters signing different gimmick names they had.

booyahlaw 09-27-2012 09:18 PM

yep, I am just doing singles on this one--just can't believe that both CM Punk and John Cena would be retail exclusives. It seems like companies used to view retail as the "dumping ground", maybe that theory has changed.

geoffyb 09-27-2012 09:41 PM

they have done it with topps 2009 and heritage 4 in the past. heritage 4 even went as far as to make certain autos exclusive at certain stores and only available in single packs and not blasters. cena was also retail only in that product.

pnft17 09-27-2012 11:46 PM

AUTOGRAPHS (Retail Exclusive)
___ Akeem
___ Cameron
___ CM Punk
___ Howard Finkle
___ Irwin R. Schyster
___ John Cena
___ Kamala
___ Naomi
___ One Man Gang

AUTOGRAPHS (Hobby Exclusive)
___ Doink the Clown
___ Kama Mustafa
___ “Mean” Gene Okerlund
___ Michael “P.S.” Hayes
___ Papa Shango
___ Paul Bearer
___ The Godfather
___ Vader

So you guys think hobby is really get the short-end of the autographs?

geoffyb 09-28-2012 12:01 AM

none of the autographs are HUGE besides maybe cena since he is retail only. punk would have been huge but hes cooled way down. the rest are all cool autos but nothing that would make me spend a bunch on a case.

Cena signs so often though, that's hampered the value.

DannyHultzenFan 09-28-2012 01:35 AM

I dont understand why topps is putting your top guys in retail instead of hobby where the real money should be spent I guess there trying to do somethen to save a buck and have such ridiculous odds to pull one...not a smart idea if you wanna move hobby.

booyahlaw 09-28-2012 10:34 AM

The Leaf Originals set (if ever released) has a few of these signers in it as well--I think that hurts the value of some of the signers listed in this thing.

Personally, I like the throwback to the 1985 set (was the first card set I ever collected).

nera20 09-28-2012 10:35 AM

This is going to be a interesting set the autographs just don't have a big enough variety to justify it costing clost to $175 more then regular topps. The lawler sketches will be nice though

golfinglegend67 09-28-2012 12:34 PM

I'm pretty much in agreement with what has been said here. The auto checklist is pretty weak. I'd rather just pick up the few auto's I want and wait for the next release.

MasterOfTheDark 09-28-2012 07:11 PM
Cena signs so often though, that's hampered the value.
They've been cutting it down lately, he hasn't been in the last two releases (at least the last two) - 2012 Topps WWE and 2012 WWE Classic.

pnft17 11-24-2012 03:46 PM

Anybody going to be busting some of this. Supposed to be live in couple days.
