Default 2005 WWE Heritage Hulk Hogan Auto (SCANS)

If anyone out there has one of these, could you please post a scan. Something is off on this for some reason.

Looks very fishy to me. I have seen a few black ink ones but none signed with thick marker like that. Also look at the black smudge line on the back of the card as if the marker wasn't dry. Most of the cards are signed with pens that dry very quickly

Agreed..The guy I got it from has almost 21,000 positives on ebay so I'm not questioning him, I'm questioning the card in general because I have seen more hogan autos from this set and even owned a black ink and I have never seen one with thick lines like this one.

I know the seller who had it. Hes an OK guy sometimes. For what you paid I would question it and send it back if you are not happy.

Yeah he will give me a full refund if I send back. I got a good deal on it but just really concerned on it. He said he's had it for a couple years and just decided to sell it.

Actually what it sold for is a bit higher than what they usually bring. I only got about $150 out of mine when I sold it.

My guess is the card had a weak auto on it. Maybe left out in light and got faded. So someone traced over auto with a thicker black marker. Covers up old ink left. Can tell with ink flow it was slowly done.

The last name looks wrong to me, specifically the two 'tails' that swing down in the middle of the last name apparently on the 'G' and 'A' in Hogan. . .

I can see indentations under the signature where it looks like the auto was done with a thin pen (like all the other hogan autos in the set) and then there like a paint pen marker overtop because I can feel the bump from the ink. I believe this will have to be refunded and someone else will have to be happy for the fradulant card.

Thanks for everyones feedback.

Thats from the same seller I messaged about on Beckett's forum.
He has a TON of autograph cards that look like the auto's faded due to being in a showcase/light too long and the autographs were traced over.

My posts:
WHY do ppl do this?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-SPX-PROMOTI...27cc089b43

If you look in his auctions he has a Frank Thomas 1993 Leaf autograph that was traced over and a VERY BAD Dr. J fake auto rookie.
ebay ID: pluymert2006

The BAD ones are:

the Steve Francis Legendary Floor autograph
1990 Nolan Ryan Heroes autograph
1993 Leaf Frank Thomas autograph
1997 SPX Promotion Joe Montana autograph
1994 Gold Standard Hall Of Fame RAY NITSCHKE #/2500 Authentic Auto
FRANK THOMAS 1996 LEAF SIGNATURE SERIES
1992 Upper Deck Heroes Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan Autograph
2001 SWEET SPOT ROGER CLEMENS SIGNATURE AUTO
1994 SIGNATURE ROOKIES GOLD STANDARD AUTO HOF13 PAUL HORNUNG
1993 Pinnacle Franco Harris - Pittsburgh Steelers Autograph Auto 1672/3000
AL KALINE 2000 TOPPS STADIUM RELICS SP AUTO GU BASE
JIM THOME SWEET SPOT SIGNATURES 19\75 2006 (suspect)

ALL THESE CARDS APPEAR TO HAVE FADED AUTOGRAPHS THAT WERE TRACED OVER TO RESELL ON EBAY!!!!

I Also believe the Buyback Joe Montana auto and the Dr J Rookie autograph (especially BAD!) are very suspect to being fake!

Yrea, stanley2erols is just a Wrestling card flipper.
He buys cheap and sells high on ebay.
The item came from the other guy I posted earlier, I seen it in his listings (must have been taken down and then sold outright off ebay to stanley2erols )
If you look at the seller I mentioned you will see those autographs i mentioned were traced over exactly like your Heritage Hogan auto.

I saw its been relisted on ebay. His scan is a bit clearer but check out the H's. You can clearly see a faded signature extending underneath the traced over one as it goes all the way down to the border of the picture. Someone should report this so that it cannot be sold again.

Yeah, It cost me $20 to send back with Express Mail, DC and Insurance but had to cover myself on this one. Once I got a magnifying glass I could easily see where the old sig was the new fake one was over top of it. I got my refund and yes it should be taken off but I dont know how ebay would verify it.

i remember passing on a hulk auto a couple months ago, it was black ink and it was really faded, it was listed wrong and went for $60 odd. I wouldnt be suprised if this guy bought it and traced over it.
it looks very suspect in my opinion. at least you got your money back. who is the seller??

I hate stanley2erols with a passion lol

For about a year I've wanted this:

TNA Samoa Joe 2008 CTL Autograph Memorabilia Card 1 1 | eBay

But I'm not going to pay a stupid price for it. There have been a total of 4 offers made on it, all by me.

I'm all for flipping cards for a profit, but he bought that Joe in this lot..

Samoa Joe TNA lot of 7: 1/1 dual auto auto/patch + m (06/24/2011)...

For about $45 dlvd for everything. I've already offered more for the one card than he paid for the entire lot.. he also hasn't sold any of those cards in over a year.

Let them collect dust....
