Default Upper Deck corrects print run error on Letterman cards in All-Time Greats

Upper Deck corrects print run error on Letterman cards in All-Time GreatsDecember 6, 2012 at 5:21 PM
By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Sports Card Monthly Editor
Upper Deck had an error in its numbering on some of the hits in 2012 All-Time Greats, which released this week.
The Letterman cards were not numbered properly, and are actually rarer than it states on each card.
The cards were numbered to the entire print run of the full name and not the individual letter cards. For example, Troy Aikmanís last name has six letters. However, each Letterman card is numbered to 60 when in fact each should be numbered to just 10 (one of the cards is pictured above).
Here is the entire list of Letterman cards in the product with the correct numbering.

Just an attempt by upper deck to deflect criticism over the product. People who have letterman from other products already know the numbering convention that's shown above.

They need to correct the error on MSRP as well.

Haha! This might be the worst product, for the money, in the history of cards.

Kelly Slater? Really?

I think the initial numbering is more accurate unless each letter has a different card number, but that's just OCD nerdboy talking.

But yeah, this product--no defense for it or saving it with numbering gimmicks.

Panini is the only ones who do the "entire print run" numbering on Lettermen. Topps and UD typically number each individual letter to the production of that letter for each time it appears in the name.
