Yeah, that set is not in any way familiar. Cool to keep an eye out for though I suppose.

I think the Wonderama set is very cool and perhaps a few cards from the set would qualify.
The #194 Sting rookie card comes to mind first. A few cards that should definitely be on the list are. Carnation The Road Warriors. Carnation Ric Flair 1985 OPC Randy Savage and Elizabeth. |

I agree on the Wonderama set--its a flagship set, even though not high in value.
The Carnations and O Pee Chee Savage should definitely be on this list. Do any cards from this decade make the list?

Sting rookie belongs a the list of top modern cards, but not sure which of the 1987 or 1988 cards I'd include.

WrestlingTradingCards.com - 1987 NWA Wrestling Supercards - Test Market Run
The Sting base card is not in the 1987 set. There are only 50 cards in the set if you include the checklist and there is a Sting card but it is #17 which is an action shot. I have only seen this set once on EBAY and it just sat there for months a few years ago. Today it might be a different story. Last edited by dpeck100; 01-09-2013 at 04:20 PM. |

Definately the Topps WCW/nWo set. I'd add the 1991 Imagine Wrestling Legends autograph cards to the list (1st autograph cards). Most specifically, the Lou Thesz auto card.

I'm getting into this all-stars set im not going to lie but the greatest set wrestling set ever is the wcw topps auto sets no questions asked.
If we are making a top 20 list of all-time wrestling cards i could name at LEAST 10 that should be in any wrestling top 20 list. no offense to some of these dinosaur sets from the 60s but lets be realistic.............wrestling really started after 1985. Thats why the 82-83 all stars are a hit with all the wrestling legends from the 80s there. These 3 sets 82A&B 83 are the only vintage wrestling cards that matter and are relevant in my opinion. But when you talk about modern wrestling cards........you cant beat wcw topps auto set they were ahead of their time.

how about wcw topps autos of Booker T, British Bulldog, Hardcore Hak, Ric Flair, and Rey Mysterio? Try to find some sort of pop reports on those. They were not made to be rare either. I have only ever seen them for sale online. My Hardcore Hak that I sold went for more than a lot of those high graded 82 cards.

To my knowledge, the Hardcore Hak (Sandman from ECW) was not released in packs . . . is that correct?
The unreleased WCW autos pose an interesting question for a list such as this . . .

I was a big wrestling fan in the 1990s, but never really collected wrestling cards (mainly baseball, basketball, and football). I usually do take a glimpse into the wrestling market just to see what's out there.
When I think of wrestling cards that I think are iconic I think of the Wrestling All Stars set, the WCW/NWO autograph set and the Hulk Hogan auto from 2006 Allen & Ginter. I was surprised no one mentioned the Allen and Ginter Hogan auto (I did just glimpse through the thread though so I could be wrong). Is it not as Iconic as I think it is? Just wondering.

The Flair would bring much more than $1000. The ones that I listed are in very high demand as they are impossible to find. Mysterio is the most common and I have seen maybe 5 of them. I know that about only 30 of them are out there as they were used for a signing. Hak gave his out at ECW shows and signings but still just very few. Bulldog is only known to have signed a handful probably less than 5. I have seen 2 Booker T cards. The Hak I sold went for over $2000.
