PSA/DNA Same Day Athentication Submissions

I am taking a day off from work soon to get some boxing gloves authenticated as PSA/DNA is coming to a town near myself real soon. I would like to know if anyone has had experience with "same day authentications", such as, is it actually same day?, how long does it take?, hidden costs?, do I need to bring more cash for shipping. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've done both JSA and PSA at shows, and yes it is same day. Just show up early enough in the day (best to be there dropping your stuff off in the first hour or two of the show). They authenticate the items in the order they are dropped off, so if there are a bunch of orders in front of you, it will be a longer wait. But if you drop them off before lunch, normally they will be done in a couple of hours.

There should be no hidden costs, the cost is the same as if you sent it in by mail. You just don't pay for the shipping each way.

How much do they charge at shows?

Do you have to be signed up with PSA already, or can anyone get cards graded?

The OP is talking about getting autographs authenticated. I don't know if PSA does same day grading of cards at shows.
