I think it was a pretty strong price for the black 1/1.

Has artwork original sketch 1/1 of a Hogan shown up yet. Wonder if he signed it.
That's about right - the plates there are two of them - the blacks there are only 1 - plus cards that are 1/1 usually demand more as more people want cards.

Thought it would go for more, pretty cool card and probably only one signed like it. Nice pick up for whoever scored it.

Any huge hits unaccounted for?

Has the other Hogan 1/1 surface?

Still 1 Hogan, Flair, Hall and 2 Piper black 1/1s unaccounted for as far as I know.

Hopefully I'll be able to add one of those 5, been 2nd place on the past few big ones :-/

You think the Pipers have been sent out? Or are they still in Leaf's vault?

I have only ever seen one Bruno alternate that I can recall.
I just broke a case (12 boxes/60 cards), and didn't get any of the above cards - regular or alternative. (did get a Piper redemption card and a Bruno #/25). My cards had very low duplication, so the chance of not getting the above cards seems strangly odd.

You would think a card company would announce short-printed cards for a set such as this.

I can think of 3 possibilities:
1) cards were actually short-printed (seems strange they would do that to major stars (Hogan, Flair, etc)
2) Leaf keeped a stockpile of cards for their archives
3) A quanity went to employees (someone said the zero feedback seller said that they had a friend at the company).

The set was postponed for quite awhile, so maybe that had some type of factor in the cards not showing up in packs (poor inventory control?).

One seller has a carpload of Scott Hall #/99 for sale. Not sure if he just hoarded them early on...

From all the case breaks I've seen it seems like they limited it to 1 top tier wrestler ($ wise) per case.. I don't think I've ever seen a Hall, Hogan, Flair or Piper more then 1 guy per.

I thought everybody knew biggest names are short printed some. Nice hits on Bruno and Piper.
Did you redeem the Piper to see what card your getting.

George Steele alternate seems to be another tough one.

1/1 Black Neidhart goes down tonight.

I haven't redemmed the Piper yet.

Also got a Jimmy Hart redemption, 1 plate, 1 Road Warrior, 1 #/5 George Steele, Bruno #/25. Think that's typical for a case?

I'm a little annoyed that I didn't get any of the so-called "top tier" wrestler's base cards...

I'd guess 75%-80% of the product has been opened.

You can still find cases from the major dealers for about $900 on ebay.

I think once the boxes dry up, the set could really take off.

Not much 1/1's blacks being listed anymore.

These leaf wrestling seem to be getting more and more popular . . . this is one of the few issues I have bought that I don't feel I criminally overpaid for singles on Ebay during the first week of release

plus, I find it hilarious that people were avoiding this issue b/c the cards don't say "certified autograph" on them

I don't think is really matters since every card is autographed (except for a few Missy Hyatt cards), but Leaf probably *should* have had the foresight to put "certified autograph" on back the cards. If someone isn't knowledgable about the set, they might shy away from buying/trading. But overall, I don't think it will make much of a difference.

Yep, I would say that is pretty darn good. I am super-jealous of that Graham out of three too--very nice get. I would rather have that one than the red parallel one I have.

Just 1 white base Poffo.

Redeemptions from the case were:

Piper #/50 & Jimmy Hart #/5 !!!

I needed the Piper for my set. (Road Warrior Animal too if that really counts as part of the set)

The only card I need now is Scott Hall, but don't feel like paying $100+ for one.

Want to split one and send it back and forth so we can say we have complete sets?

Wait I still need Piper, Hogan, and Nash...

There's plenty online to buy, but I can live without it. Razor Ramon was perhaps the only wrestler I couldn't stand.
