Default Flurry of Ebay Leaf Originals

So who outbid me on the stuff that just ended... Center piece was:
2012 Leaf Originals Wrestling Black Scott Hall Signed Auto 1 1 | eBay

Well exceeded my $180 budget... but damn nice card.

I know some people on here got something... well at least I hope they did.

Did look like some nice Scott Hall autos were going down tonight.

Anyone here see the latest video DDP and Jake Robers put out. With them calling Scott Hall. I guess X-Pac put word out that they need to get Hall help asap and get him into DDP rehab house. Seems to be working well for Jake so far.

I missed the black Flair (again), would have paid more than the 199.99 buy it now price, but was gone before I saw it. Any Scott Hall signature for over $300 bucks with him alive and kicking seems way overpriced to me. Considering the Bruno went for $100 and the Flair $200, I cant imagine even a Scott Hall collector would want to spend that much for a guy who was never a world champion. My interest stopped as far as buying it after it got over $150.00.

Anyone have list of all black 1/1 that have hit open market.

See a Hogan is up now.

It's only too much if you don't want it... I did enjoy Hall - I would say he's better than a lot of the world champions - David Arquette would be one..

I was wondering the same thing.

Still looking for the black Greg Valentine (not the alternate). Never seen it yet. Would pay nicely.

I'd guess 70-75% of the boxes have been opened. I'd think any new black 1/1's will be slow to show up on the secondary market.

Unfortunately I didn't obtain any that day.. Had my eyes on a few but was going for the big one.. I had a high bid near the end but the centering is what really drove me away as I slab my pc. Curious to see who ended up with the Hall and if they're going for that variation run?

We could have split it - I could have had it in the winter, you in the spring... back and forth...

That would be my guess as well.
Blowout probably has bulk of it. Even at local card show here no one has any sealed stuff left.
Prices on BO are pretty good on it. Singles in general seem to be selling very well now.
Still nice bargins to found, just not as easy anymore. Wish I had bought up more ink variations. I would guess Leaf will do same thing in next release. Was a nice value add.

Box prices are holding remarkably stable.

Some of the wrestlers are getting tough (Piper & Hall, among others)

Yes, Piper and Hall cards sell very well. Piper being redemption only just makes it even better. Kong did a nice job on his cards and Piper adding Rowdy to his sigs was nice added bonus. I have his Sportkings auto and he didn't do that on them.

I haven't followed Piper autos that much is their any variations of that one showing up.

Seems most autos are now seeing a uptick in prices. Bruno is another that is doing really well.

Top 5 cards of the set?

Hogan and Flair, of course
Piper (redemption scarcity, for now)
Bruno - WWE HOF popularity upswing
Scott Hall (a bet on his health issues, I'd guess)

I would add Superstar Graham as maybe a 5 (a) to the above list--his cards seem to do well from this set

Looking at past auctions, looks like Bret Hart and Kevin Nash are top cards too.

I would consider these the "Super 8" of the set (in no particular order):

1) Hogan
2) Flair
3) Piper
4) Sammartino
5) Hall
6) Graham
7) Nash
8) Hart

Maybe with Wendi Richter and Missy Hyatt rounding out the top 10 (just kidding about those two)

A lot of ink variations on Ebay now. Some seller with no feedback listed a bunch of pretty good autos. Probably will gamble and try for a couple. Sure the seller feedback will keep prices low.

No feedback seller is doing considerably better than feedback sellers which makes me a little suspicious. That never happens no matter the sport or card. So either people building sets are running out of places to find the cards they need or well,....hopefully not....

Seller does have a lot of nice tough cards to find. A few went cheap.

Nobody should be worried about zero feedback sellers. You are 100% protected by buying on ebay.

I broke a case today.

Hit a Mean Gene original artist sketch.

He isn't even in the series. Maybe worth good money?
