Default 1986 Carnation Major League Wrestling PSA Registry Set....

I just got done making some scans of Ric Flair and The Road Warriors to upload to my PSA registry set so that all six cards would be scanned in for viewing.

PSA Card Set Registry - dpeck100

The Carnation set is such an awesome set of cards and I rank The Road Warriors card as one my favorites in my collection.

Here the scans of the cards in my set.

I recently picked these up and will be sending these three off to PSA soon with a number of other cards to get graded.

Awesome cards, I had never seen that Kamala before, cool stuff. Good luck on the grades you get back. Your registry on the set is quite impressive.

I own the 1985 WWF topps Set on PSA (Ranked #1) Building wrestling sets are fun. Congrats on the set.

I was excited to see someone take on that set and complete it. The 1985 Topps set is a cool one.

I think these 1980's wrestling sets that we build are starting to pick up steam. People are realizing that they are rare as far as condition and quantity. I seen a 86 Carnation Kamala single sell for over $100, ungraded. Its about time these cards are getting the attention that they deserve. Hopefully they can reach the level that sets like the 62 Mars attacks is at. On another note I am considering doing a 1991 Swanson Set after I finish the 1987 WWF Topps set. The Swanson set I believe was only released in Canada so this should be fun.

Yes I sold the Kamala that you are referencing. Others in the set did well too.

I have quite a few cards I plan to submit from many sets of wrestling. There are a lot of cards that will interest people.

The Wrestling All Stars are the most important cards but there are quite a few other sets that will continue to attract interest.

People are really starting to have interest in early cards of wrestlers.

Not just Wrestling All Stars and Auto cards, but first (ie rookie) cards and other scarce issues.

A lot of unopen wax is drying up or just substantually marked-up in price due to scarcity.

Here are some scans of the base cards I plan to submit at some point. I need to find better copies of some but I am working on all of them. There are other sets I have raw copies ready to be sent to PSA from too.

Great cards to get graded.

Fleer unopened boxes have dried up and the base cards are getting tough to find in top condition. I would assume the black borders would make these cards condition sensitive for PSA grading.

I bought the three boxes of 2002 WWE Royal Rumble that popped up a few months ago and busted them. I plan to send in a bunch to get graded by PSA.

There have been BGS examples graded from this set and only one card by PSA.

I did not post any of the scans but I plan to send in a good number of the Wonderama cards I have yet to grade as well.

In total I have a little over 170 cards in the stack to send in.

I saw this one hit the pop report and have been checking daily to see if it would hit EBAY. It must have hit this morning and already sold.

I thought that was a bit high considering there are now 4 PSA 8's. I guess that's not bad if you consider what the raw versions go for and the fact that you don't see flairs card for sale very often. Makes you wonder what the PSA 9 would sell for.

Someone bought a nice raw Flair for $60 not too long ago.

I bought the other one that seller had for $60. It was tremendous looking on the front but some edge wear on the back and came back a PSA 6.

I know who bought this Flair and he has the another PSA 8, PSA 9OC and the PSA 9 Flair as well. At this time I believe he has the most Carnation cards of anyone.

There are indeed four PSA 8's and I have two of them. I actually sold the first one ever on EBAY for $200 about two years ago and after six months of going back and forth I worked a trade to get it back. I kid you not just a few weeks later the next one showed up on EBAY and I was alerted it was there and snagged it on my phone just after landing at the airport for $150.

I have five in total with two of them signed.

Great buy for $60.

I have a few sets from years ago. I will get them graded if I ever find them.

Looks like a few are getting graded, with grades being across the board. PSA 7 & 8 seems the standard range, and anything over should carry a huge premium.

I have added a few new Carnation cards to my collection.

It is very rare that a Rick Martel comes up for sale. I will be sending this one in.

This Kamala is obviously off centered but still a cool card.

This is getting some serious action so far. It will be very interesting to see how this finishes.

I only have one of these and it by far one of my favorite cards.

A little over 5 hours to go on the Carnation Road Warriors on EBAY.

It will be interesting to see where this one finishes for sure. By far one of the best wrestling cards that exist in any condition.

I am out of the bidding so good luck if anyone is trying to win it.

Seems to be developing interest in the Road Warriors lately, at least more than any other tag team.

Road Warriors have been a good sale for a while now although this auction is setting the bar higher!

The Road Warriors were such a dominating tag team and one of the few that never changed their gimmick and were not two top singles stars placed together for a short period of time. They were a true unit. I love watching their WWE DVD and various clips on Youtube and if any tag team represents 80's wrestling it is the Road Warriors.

There are very few cards in the modern era where you can't just go on EBAY and find a copy. I have searched daily for wrestling cards for the past four years and I have only seen five of these sell on EBAY and I won two of them. I realize there are more out there but that tells you this is a very tough to find card in any condition. When you mix the rarity with the star power of the Road Warriors you get an explosion in price. I knew it was destined to happen and have said all along the Carnation cards would be some of the top cards to own once people realized how tough they really are. I have 19 of the 1982 Wrestling All Stars Hulk Hogan cards and only 1 of The Road Warriors. It hasn't been the price that has kept me away but the availability of the card. There are only 5 of these ever graded by PSA and a total of only 52 cards from the entire series graded. This type of imbalance between supply and demand only means one thing, higher prices.

The wrestling card market is fairly small but if it had the collector base of baseball or some other major sport this card would go for four figures easily and deep in the thousands in high grade. I don't think the closing price is shocking at all and if I thought this card would grade higher I would have bid much higher then I did.

I am hoping that a few more collectors see these prices and want to sell their Carnation Major League Wrestling cards.

I had a chance to buy a very nice Ric Flair Carnation card about a year ago for $100.00 and I passed on it. lets just say I am kicking myself for passing on the card which might have graded out to be an 8, maybe a 7.
