The Lawler and Bruiser from the second set were awesome except for a smashed corner. Both would have easily been mint.

I just checked the set from last night and the Bruiser is pretty sharp but bad centering and the Lawler has strong centering with a damaged lower right corner.

The Chrusher in both cases was terrible as it is the back card in every sealed set I have opened.

There is one PSA 9 and it has been in the pop report since I started checking in late 2009. It has never surfaced.

I wonder if the person who owns that card even realizes what a great card it is.

I got back my cards from Wrestlecade today from Ben and I do agree they look great signed.

The problem is a sealed set cost me a lot more then the sum of the parts. You win some and you lose some. In this case I lost big.

Nice, you gonna show off those cards from Wrestlecade.

Does anyone know of a good website that shows when these big wrestling Conventions/Signings are listed?

Good stuff.

Really like seeing those 1985 magazine All Stars cards signed.
Masked Superstar is sweet. Love the star he added.
RnR express came out well. Never know how big some guys sign on cards.

dpeck was Jimmy Valiant card you got signed one you cracked out of a psa holder or just a raw copy you had?
I picked up PSA 8 of that card because it is a tough one to find in nice shape. Your signed copy looks great and card itself looks like a easy 8 or even a 9.

It is a nice copy for sure. I have in the range of 2000 raw cards from the sets and it was in a very nice raw stack.

The Jimmy Valiant card is one of the tougher cards in the set for sure. Many are miscut and off centered.

Both of my PSA 10's were self submitted and I highly doubt many more of those will ever surface.

The card is most likely an 8 and I will need to study it more to see if there are any hidden flaws. A lot of times there is in hand. I really think that card came out great.

Nice card! By the way, does Dallas Diamond Page always sign his name with just his initials?

I was wondering the same thing LOL

Looks like just DDP for cards, but he will write more for photographs.

When I spoke with Ben it sounded like DDP charged the most at the show too.

A nice full signature would be cool.

Sweet Brody Dpeck. Have you tracked down time frame of that photo they used for him. Looks so different in the shot compared to his mid 80's look. Always interesting hearing about what went down when he was killed. Tony Atlas book is pretty good and he talks a lot about it in it. He was there when it happened.
So it has pop 2 in PSA 10.

DDP signed that same way on all his Leaf and I believe even his WCW Topps autos as well. He does sign a little different if you have auto a card of his other names in wrestling.

It is the early 70's. I need to do a little work and will find out.

The Bruiser Brody card is the one I have the most of. I tried so hard early on to find nice copies to send in. I have like 36 or 37 of them in total.

FOUND A SET OF THESE IN A BOX OF CARDS my moms friend gave me last year... they were his dads who passed!! missing Flair, but has everyone else! Tho totally bent/ and some have writing, but to find them like that... alone with a Mike schdmid RC amongst hundreds of worthless cards, i was pretty happy! I love wrestling, and put them away, not knowing value until recently... just thought they were super cool... still amazed... How did this set some about again? Did you have to send away to a wrestling maagazine or somthing?

The cards were mail order only. They advertised them in the various The Wrestling News produced publications. One of the things that makes the sets so great is they feature wrestlers from the various territories and different cards are advertised in different areas in some cases.

You will find examples of the photos used for the cards on The Wrestling News magazines produced starting in the early 70's.

Here are some scans.

This magazine is from 1981 and there are no cards yet available but this is the photo used for the Andre card which is super cool.

A color insert advertisement for the various Pro Wrestling Enterprises souvenirs. That was the name of the company that produced The Wrestling News.

This came from one of the Mid South Spectaculars.

This came from one of the special publications that were made for the CWA in Memphis that Jim Cornette produced and were published by Pro Wrestling Enterprises.

Here is an order form for both the 1982 B and the 1983 Series.

I really dig your Tully Blanchard w the verse inscription. Did you have to ask for an inscription, or is that just how he signs? Just curious, it is sweet.

A card collector named Ben got these signed for me at Wrestlecade. I believe this is how Tully Blanchard signs every time.

A lot of wrestlers have turned to religion after their wild party days and he is one of them and I have seen a number sign in a similar fashion.

It is a cool card for sure and I plan to get it authenticated.

I just added these to my 1983 Wrestling All Stars sets. There are a few more cards that I may be able to upgrade but not many. There are several cards from this set I do not believe we will ever see a 10 on. Big John Studd and Matt Borne instantly come to mind.

I can't even imagine how many cards you have to send in. I know one day I am going to wake up and check the population and report and see a lot of new nice cards hit.
